Sombr might be singing with a lisp for a little while. While playing a concert at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Tuesday (Nov. 3), the musician chipped his tooth in an unexpected way.

In the middle of his set, the musician born Shane Boose took a moment to request a fan’s phone so that he could quickly check his appearance in the selfie camera, as captured in videos from the show. “Oh, s–t! I chipped my tooth again!” sombr exclaimed after examining his mouth. “I’m so happy to inform all of you that ‘Thombr’ has returned.”

At this point, the pop star is a pro at handling this exact snafu. He’s chipped his tooth multiple times in the past — including when he lost a chunk of enamel while singing Billboard Hot 100 No. 7 hit “Back to Friends” in March 2025, which he posted a video of on TikTok — so much so that his fans have continued to embrace his “Thombr” alter ego.

In previous instances, though, such dental injuries have been due to him rocking out too hard or jumping too forcefully while wrapped up in the music. But this time, it was a slightly less hardcore circumstance that did him in.

“I was just going over to take a sip of my water bottle,” he explained Tuesday, smiling. “I bang it on my tooth, and I chip my tooth. Make some noise for me. I’m really tough. Rock star.”

The pop star flashed his newly asymmetrical smile to the big-screen cameras, showing that his top left incisor was visibly much shorter and uneven compared to his right.

Sombr is currently on his You Are the Reason Tour, with dates scheduled through summer 2027. His debut album, I Barely Know Her, reached No. 10 on the Billboard 200.

Elton John’s First Song to Enter YouTube Billions Club Might Surprise You

The 1989 video stars supermodel Yasmeen Ghauri and singer Chris Isaak.

Sire Elton John‘s video for the maudlin 1989 single “Sacrifice” has joined the YouTube billion-views club. The single from John’s 22nd studio album, 1989’s Sleeping with the Past, chronicles the challenge of remaining faithful in marriage, with a video starring singer/songwriter Chris Isaak and supermodel Yasmeen Ghauri.

The clip directed by Alex Keshishian (Madonna: Truth or Dare, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me) follows Isaak as he and Ghauri struggle to maintain their connection as a married couple while raising their young daughter, with Isaak seeming to take on single parenthood near the end of the video.
