Watch Ella Langley Cover Shania Twain’s ‘You’re Still the One’: ‘I’ll Never Get Over This Song’

Ella Langley is paying tribute to an enduring Shania Twain classic.

While her hit “Choosin’ Texas” just broke a record on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart with 28 weeks at No. 1, Langley continues paying homage to her favorite past favorites. She regularly posts covers of hit songs on TikTok, and on June 10, she shared a video snippet of herself performing Twain’s 1998 hit “You’re Still the One.”

“I’ll never get over this song,” Langley captioned the video, which showed the rising country star playing a piano version of the romantic track.

Twain herself commented on the video, writing, “So flattered [heart emoji] Loved getting to connect at ACMs xx.” Twain hosted this year’s ACM Awards, which saw Langley pick up wins in categories including song of the year and single of the year (for “Choosin’ Texas”), as well as female artist of the year.

“You’re Still the One” appeared on Twain’s 1997 album, Come On Over and rose to No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. The song also topped the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. “You’re Still the One” also earned Grammys for best country song and best female country vocal performance.

Langley’s previous cover songs on social media have included versions of Freddy Fender’s “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights” and George Strait’s “Fool Hearted Memory.”

On her Billboard 200 chart-topping album Dandelion, Langley also included a cover of Kitty Wells’s 1952 classic “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels.” Wells’ hit was a retort to Hank Thompson’s “The Wild Side of Life.”

Langley brought her slate of hits to CMA Fest in downtown Nashville on June 4, performing a set that evening at Nissan Stadium. She also joined Gretchen Wilson for a version of Wilson’s “Here for the Party.”
