Country music fans, it’s time to start planning for festival season.

Today (Nov. 17), Republic Live — the producers of Boots and Hearts Music Festival — announced the three-day country fest's lineup for 2026.

Next year's edition will run Aug. 7-9, at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds in Oro-Medonte, Ontario. The two major headliners are U.S. country groups The Chicks and Rascal Flatts, who will be joined by a mix of established stars and emerging artists.

Grammy and CMA Award-winning icons The Chicks (formerly Dixie Chicks) make their Boots and Hearts debut as Saturday night’s headliner (Aug. 8) and ACM Award-winning group Rascal Flatts close out the weekend as Sunday night's headliner (Aug. 9). The headliner for Friday (Aug. 7) has yet to be announced.

Joining these U.S. stars is an impressive lineup of notable country acts from both sides of the border. That list includes Russell Dickerson, Jessie Murph, Tucker Wetmore, Waylon Wyatt, Thelma & James (comprising the married couple of Jake Etheridge and Canadian MacKenzie Porter), Brett Kissel, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, James Barker Band, Dasha, Savannah Jade, School House and many more.

The opening night of Boots and Hearts will feature the Emerging Artist Showcase, now established as a major platform for launching such Canadian country artists as Josh Ross, Owen Riegling and last year's winner, Sarah Vanderzon.

In announcing the lineup, festival co-founder Eva Dunford of Republic Live, declared that “The Chicks said it best, ‘I’ve sure been down this road before,’ but there’s nothing like the road to Boots. This festival and team have always been dedicated to creating world-class experiences that bring people together, and our new three-day format is the exciting next step in that journey."

Boots and Hearts is the flagship event for Canadian live entertainment company Republic Live. The festival has won the CCMA Award as Country Festival of the Year eight times and has been recognized by the Academy of Country Music for Festival of the Year. This year, Republic Live's director of booking & business development, Brooke Dunford, was a Billboard Canada Women In Music 2025 honouree.

Billboard Canada 2025 Power Players List Revealed

By Richard Trapunski, Rosie Long Decter, Peony Hirwani, Stefano Rebuli and Heather Taylor-Singh

Billboard Canada Power Players is back for a second year, and it comes at a pivotal time for Canadian music. Canadian Content regulations – a principle that built the domestic industry – are up for review for the first time in a generation, with ongoing hearings taking place with the CRTC. The Online Streaming Act, meanwhile, is attempting to regulate major foreign streaming services to contribute to CanCon as the CRTC once did for radio, but companies like Spotify, Amazon and Apple Music aren't taking it without a fight.

Those issues shadow the industry, which has both struggles and successes. The country was recently named the 8th largest music market in the world by the IFPI and Toronto has emerged as a marquee live music market. That's been reflected in the successes and investments in new venues by companies like Live Nation Canada, MLSE and Oak View Group, though some festivals and promoters outside of their orbit have gone public with their own struggles.
