One of Canada's biggest annual country music festivals is returning.

Today (Nov. 13), the P.E.I Cavendish Beach Music Festival announced its full Main Stage lineup for 2026. It features star U.S. acts HARDY, Tucker Wetmore and Cody Johnson as headliners. Next year's three-day festival takes place from July 9-11.

All three major headlining artists have made waves on the Billboard Canada charts. HARDY's "Favorite Country Song" rises 19-17 on this week's Country Airplay chart, while Wetmore's "3,2,1" debuted on this week's Canadian Hot 100 at No. 98, following placements on All-Format and Country Airplay charts. After nine weeks on the chart, Johnson climbs 49-45 with "The Fall" on Country.

The Canadian contingent includes hitmaking singer-songwriter Jade Eagleson, Quebec star Matt Lang, 2025 Music Nova Scotia Entertainer of the Year Terra Spencer, Halifax songsmith Dave Sampson and Indigenous folk-rock duo The North Sound.

Beyond the major headline acts, the festival will feature established and emerging U.S. stars, including Dylan Gossett, Muscadine Bloodline, Grammy-winner Ashley McBryde, Avery Anna, roots heroine Margo Price and more.

As one of the nation's biggest country music events, organizers say that the festival regularly attracts over 60,000 country music fans annually.

"It really captures the heart of Cavendish: incredible artists, great stories and moments fans will never forget," says Ben Murphy, CEO of fest producer Whitecap Entertainment, of the next year's lineup. "From powerhouse female vocalists like Ashley McBryde and Margo Price to new favourites like Dylan Gossett and Avery Anna, and we can't wait to see everyone singing along in Cavendish this summer."

Past performers have included major American stars like Zac Brown Band, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and Reba McEntire — to name a few. Back in 2018, Canadian pop sensation Shawn Mendes headlined the festival.

More talent announcements are expected early in 2026. Tickets are on sale now here. More festival information here.

Music News Digest: New Documentary Toronto Music Legend Handsome Ned Premieres, Austra Releases Short Film

The Canadian Live Music Association boosts local live music with Setting the Stage grants, new Hamilton music venue The Parlour set to open and more tidbits from the Canadian music industry.

A legend of Toronto music is getting his due.

On Jan. 10, coinciding with the anniversary of his passing, the documentary film You Left Me Blue: The Handsome Ned Story was simultaneously screened in Toronto (a sold-out event at The Paradise Theatre) and the Gaba Gool Club in Hamilton. The well-constructed film is a portrait of the highly influential country/rockabilly troubadour Handsome Ned (Robin Masyk), a true legend of Toronto's famed Queen Street West music scene of the '80s. Prior to his death in 1987 at age 29 (a heroin overdose), Ned was a fixture on that strip's clubs (especially The Cameron House), either solo or with bands (The Sidewinders, The Handsome Neds and more) featuring stellar local players.
