Drake rewrites his personal-best reign atop the Hot Rap Songs chart as “Janice STFU” wins a 19th week at No. 1. The single breaks from a tie with “Hotline Bling” for Drake’s longest leader among his record 32 champs, with the previous record-holder having captured 18 weeks in the penthouse in 2015-16.

For the record-breaking frame, on the chart dated Oct. 3, “Janice STFU” collected 9 million official streams, 15.7 million in airplay audience and a negligible number of track sales in the tracking week of Sept. 18-24 in the United States, according to Luminate. All three categories are essentially even compared with their previous week’s totals. (Hot Rap Songs blends streaming, airplay and sales data to rank the most popular rap songs of the week.)

Overall, “Janice STFU” equals Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow’s 2021 hit “Industry Baby” for the fourth-longest-running No. 1 in Hot Rap Songs history, which dates to April 1989. Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” heads the leaderboard (47 weeks), with Lamar’s “Not Like Us” (26) in second place and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus (20) holding the bronze.

Here’s a look at all eight of Drake’s No. 1s to spend 10 or more weeks at No. 1 on Hot Rap Songs:

Weeks at No. 1, Song Title, Artist (if other than Drake), Year(s) at No. 119, “Janice STFU,” 202618, “Hotline Bling,” 2015-1615, “Best I Ever Had,” 200914, “The Motto,” feat. Lil Wayne; 201213, “I’m on One,” DJ Khaled feat. Drake, Rick Ross & Lil Wayne; 201113, “Rich Flex,” with 21 Savage; 2022-2311, “God’s Plan,” 201811, “In My Feelings,” 2018

The “Janice” achievement follows its parent album, ICEMAN, providing Drake another personal milestone. The set recently captured a 13th week at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, surpassing Take Care’s dozen weeks at the summit for the best run of Drake’s career.

Notably, “Janice STFU” has not vacated the No. 1 spot in its entire Hot Rap Songs chart run, tracing to its debut at the summit on the list dated May 30. Stable streaming numbers have served as the backbone to the song’s consistency, as the track rules the Rap Streaming Songs ranking for a 17th week.
