The vast vault of MuchMusic content is open.

As of yesterday, the beloved music video channel has started uploading rare interviews and other classic programming to a new YouTube channel, aptly-titled Much Rewind.

It's been years since the Bell Media-owned channel has aired original music content on TV, with the "Much" channel focusing more on programming from Comedy Central. The platform relaunched as a “digital first network” in collaboration with TikTok in 2021, focusing on "creator-driven content" with new VJs making content for social media and YouTube.

But the Much vaults hold a treasure trove of music history that rarely sees the light of day, including plenty of exclusive interviews dating back to the 1980s. Now, they will finally have a new home.

According to the channel’s description, Much Rewind will feature “full interviews and a nostalgic deep dive into the 80s, 90s and 2000s music culture."

Currently, the channel has four uploads, featuring pop powerhouse Christina Aguilera, rapper Eminem, late R&B icon Aaliyah and rocker Noel Gallagher of Oasis — the latter of whom will be taking the stage in August at Rogers Stadium.

Following the channel announcement on TikTok, users quickly went to the comments with their requests.

"Can you put old shows on there or clips? I LOVED Video on Trial 🤣,” one user wrote.

Another commented: “Muchmusic countdown 🙏🏾.”

One user is hoping for “Any Weird Al takeover!”

‘This Moment Must Serve as a Call to Action’: Riverfest Elora Speaks After Closing Due to Financial Strain

Last month, the Ontario music festival called it quits after 15 years. Now, they’re asking the nation to pour into the country’s live music scene.

Riverfest Elora is calling on Canadians to support the local live music scene.

Today (Dec. 19), organizers for the Ontario music festival submitted a call to action through Elora's local newspaper, Elora Fergus Today. It’s addressed to Canadian businesses, citizens and policymakers, advising them to invest in live music before more local organizations continue to dissipate.
