Oasis Adds Second Toronto Date at Rogers Stadium

Due to "phenomenal demand," the band has added four new North American shows, all in previously-announced cities. Tickets go on sale on October 4. Resellers are already deceptively flooding sites with "spec ticketing."

Toronto fans don't need to look back in anger: Oasis have added a second stop at Rogers Stadium on their 2025 reunion tour.

The Britpop brother duo of Noel and Liam Gallagher announced that due to "phenomenal demand," they're playing four extra dates on the North American leg of their tour. Toronto, East Rutherford (New Jersey), Los Angeles, and Mexico City are all getting second shows, in addition to previously announced dates. Oasis last played in North American 16 years ago.

The band will play both dates at Toronto's just-announced Rogers Stadium, a new 50,000 capacity venue from Live Nation set to open next summer.

The U.K. leg of the reunion tour is already sold out, and North American tickets go on sale Friday, October 4, with pre-sale starting October 3.

That hasn't stopped scalpers, however, who are already listing tickets on re-sale sites, engaging in a deceptive practice known as "speculative ticketing," where scalpers promise tickets that haven't yet been purchased, ratcheting the price up to enormous heights. In order to deliver on the promise, the sellers often engage in illegal methods like using bots to acquire the tickets once they go on sale.

Ticketmaster Canada is warning of spec ticketing already taking place, sending out a press release pointing to tickets on SeatGeek, GameTime, StubHub and Vivid Seats.

The U.K. ticket sales had their own problems, with dynamic pricing sending costs through the roof and tech problems plaguing the sales. Following criticism, Oasis pledged to do away with dynamic pricing for the North American dates — only for scalpers to already list re-sale tickets at $720 CAD.

In April, 250+ artists including Billie Eilish and Green Day, signed a letter in support of the Fans First Act to ban fake tickets in the U.S. and address persistent ticketing problems. In May, the U.S. Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against Live Nation and its subsidiary, Ticketmaster, for monopolization.

Coldplay Calls Rogers Stadium 'A Very Bizarre Stadium a Million Miles From Earth' at Second Toronto Concert

In their second of four shows on Tuesday night (July 8), the British band said "we are testing the premise, 'if you build it they will come.' But their majestic Music of the Spheres show also showed off the new venue's unique strengths.

Coldplay took the stage for the second of four concerts at Rogers Stadium in Toronto on Tuesday night (July 8), which also held the distinction of being the third overall show at the brand new 50,000-capacity Downsview venue.

If you ask Live Nation Canada's President of Music, Erik Hoffman, they are also one of the major reasons it was built. In their first two shows, though, Chris Martin hasn't exactly had flattering things to say about it. On night one, he called it a "weird stadium in the middle of nowhere," and he went even further on the second night calling the venue a "very bizarre stadium a million miles from Earth."
