Rush are no longer touring after the death of drummer Neil Peart, but they're keeping their legacy alive.

This week, the beloved Canadian prog-rock trio release Rush 50, a 50-track anthology spanning their legendary career. The presence of unreleased tracks on this first-ever full retrospective box set will excite the super-fans.

There are some other notable albums out this week. Thea May puts out Brought to You by Tragedy, the first release by the hotly-tipped roots artist on the Indigenous label Ishkōdé Records. There's also a live album, Lucky Streak: Live From The Hangar, by the acclaimed and prolific Toronto roots songsmith Jerry Leger. Some Nights is an eclectic solo debut release from noted producer Brock Geiger.

Aysanabee, a rising star in the Canadian music scene, has announced his keenly-awaited sophomore full-length, Edge of the Earth, on June 20. Last year, the soulful Indigenous songwriter won two major Juno Awards, for Songwriter and Alternative Album of the Year, for his EP Here and Now.

Other artists announcing new work include the enigmatic Toronto rocker Harkness (subject of a new film doc), with his sophomore album, Ciao To The Beauty, acclaimed roots duo Rube & Rake (Good Times After Bad), critical favourite Bibi Club with a deluxe edition of Feu de Garde (Les Braises), an intriguing collaboration between Dragonette and NY electro-duo The Knocks, Revelation, a debut EP, Shattered Love, from Absolute Treat, the Toronto pop group formerly known as Dilettante and now reportedly focusing on the dance floor and Point, a solo debut from Quebec folk singer-songwriter Stephane Archambault.
