Nettwerk Music Group has announced multiple promotions in its A&R department as the company ramps up the expansion of its A&R division to expand globally.


Rachel Cragg has been promoted to Vice President, A&R, and Strategy, while Sameer Sadhu and Angus Blair are now Vice President(s), A&R, respectively.

Cragg has built a roster of global artists, including Mallrat, Neil Frances, Kali, Dee Holt, and Hermitude. Sadhu has a roster that includes Andrew McMahon, In the Wilderness, Miami Horror, Miya Folick, Tim Atlas, and Vacations. Blair, a 5-year veteran with the Vancouver-based company, has previously worked with Leisure, Matt Maltese, Himalayas, Mega, Seafret, Bad Sounds, and Rhodes.

In a press release, Nettwerk co-founder Mark Jowett stated: “Rachel, Angus, and Sameer’s unique styles and keen eyes for talent have made them invaluable members of Nettwerk’s A&R team. They super-serve their artists, and we couldn’t be more proud and grateful to have them as leaders at the label.”

Les Cowboys Fringants Debut ‘Merci ben!’ on the Billboard Canada AC Airplay Chart

French-language music makes its mark on the Canadian charts this week.

Les Cowboys Fringants have made their latest Billboard debut with their song “Merci ben!” which arrives at No. 30 on the Canada AC chart for May 10. The country-folk track finds the band thanking its fans while reminiscing on its beginnings and milestones, from playing small bars to sold-out arenas. The track’s title is Quebec jargon for “Thank you very much!”
