BTS Achieves Its 4th Chart Topping Album

Korea's unstoppable BTE ensemble tops the album chart this week. Other new entries include Meghan Thee Stallion, Quebec superstar Pierre Lapointe, American-Guyanese rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer Saint Jhn, American hat singer Lee Brice, and Josh Groban.

BTS Achieves Its 4th Chart Topping Album

BTS’ BE debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, achieving the highest album and digital song sales for the week. It is their fourth chart-topping album and second in 2020, following Map Of The Soul: 7 in early March.


Last week’s No. 1 album, AC/DC’s Power Up, slips to 2nd place and Taylor Swift’s folklore bullets 18-3, the album’s highest chart position since late September.

Michael Buble’s Christmas moves 8-4 and Pop Smoke’s Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon drops to 5 and continues to have the highest on-demand stream total for the week.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Good News debuts at No. 9, her first top ten album. It surpasses the 17 peak of Suga in May of this year.

Quebec superstar Pierre Lapointe’s holiday album Chansons Hiverales debuts at 10, his first top ten album since 2017’s La Science Du Coeur hit No. 1. It surpasses the No. 11 peak of his last release, 2019’s Pour Dejouer L’ennui.

Other new entries include  American-Guyanese rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer Saint Jhn’s While The World Was Burning at 24, American hat singer Lee Brice’s Hey World at 36 and Josh Groban’s Harmony at 40.

PartyNextDoor Earns A Top Artist-Songwriter Award from National Music Publishers Association

The National Music Publishers Association revealed that the Toronto singer secured 16 RIAA certifications between April and June of this year — including Rihanna's diamond-certified "Work" — earning him the title of top artist-songwriter for the second quarter of 2024.

Hard work pays off: PartyNextDoor, R&B singer and songwriter behind massive hits like Rihanna's "Work," is the top artist-songwriter for Q2 of 2024.

The National Music Publishers Association (NMPA) revealed that from April to June of this year, the Toronto artist earned 16 RIAA certifications, putting him in the top spot in the U.S.
