ADISQ has unveiled its list of nominees for its 2026 gala and the alien duo from Saguenay, Quebec are leading the pack with a staggering 11 nominations, including several of the top honours.
Singer-songwriter Lou-Adriane Cassidy and JF Pauzé of Cowboy Fringants fame follow with six nominations each at the ceremony, which celebrates excellence among Quebec musicians and their musical releases.
This year's ADISQ Gala is being held at the Salle Wilfrid Pelletier concert hall at Montreal's Place Des Arts on Nov. 8.
Angine de Poitrine are practically nominated across the board, largely fuelled by their Billboard-charting album Vol. II, which was released in April right as the Billboard Canada cover stars' global breakthrough began picking up steam. The album is nominated for album of the year and the critics' choice for album of the year, as well as rock album of the year, while "Fabienk" picks up a nod for song of the year.

As for the pair themselves, they're recognized in the fields for songwriter/composer of the year, group/duo of the year, breakthrough artist of the year and artist of the year — international impact. In addition to their honours at the main ceremony and the Premier Gala, they're also in the running for several Industry Gala awards including arrangements of the year and producer of the year for Vol. II, while their mastering engineer Dany Lemay earns a nod for best recording, mixing and mastering.
After winning twelve Felix awards at last year's ADISQ Gala, Premier Gala and Industry Gala, including sweeping the top four categories during the main gala, Lou-Adriane Cassidy's hot streak continues into 2026 with a series of nominations for her newest LP Triste Animal. Cassidy is up for six awards including female artist of the year, songwriter/composer of the year and song of the year with "Jamais tout à fait," while members of her creative team are being recognized in the industry categories for best album cover, best engineering, best staging and best lighting/projections.

JF Pauzé made a top 10 debut on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart earlier this year with Les Amours de seconde main, and the record is racking up more accolades with nominations for folk album of the year, album of the year — critics' choice and album of the year and more, while "Ballon-sonde" is competing with Cassidy and Angine de Poitrine for song for the year. Pauzé is fresh off headlining the 2026 edition of BLEUFEU's Festival Fono in Quebec City, where he filled in for French rapper GIMS following a last-minute cancellation.
Angine de Poitrine may need to start making room for a trophy case, as the Felix awards aren't the only major prize they're up for this year. The duo were recently added as performers at the 2026 Polaris Prize Ceremony, where they're nominated for both the Album Prize and the SOCAN Polaris Song Prize, once again for Vol. II and "Fabienk." After receiving the Global Breakthrough Award during Billboard Canda Power Players 2026, the nominations mark the beginning of a new wave of industry acclaim in Canada as the polka-dotted pair continue to make waves overseas. On Monday night (Sept. 14), the group celebrated their success by debuting an all-new song titled "Zugzegk" (a play on the French word for success) while making their U.S. television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Other renowned Quebecois names like Charlotte Cardin, Cœur de pirate, Ariane Moffat and Les Louanges have also added multiple new nods to their career total this year.
