Fans React After Lucy Dacus Postpones Vancouver Shows Due to Illness
The Grammy-winning artist was set to take the stage on Tuesday (August 12) and Wednesday (August 13), but the show was postponed two hours before the first scheduled performance.

Last night (August 12), Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre and promoter MODO-Live announced that Lucy Dacus's two scheduled Forever Is a Feeling tour shows (with support from Jay Som) were postponed, citing an unspecified illness.
"Unfortunately, Lucy Dacus and Jay Som must postpone their shows in Vancouver tonight (8/12) and tomorrow (8/13) due to illness," the statement read. "We'll be in touch shortly with information for all ticket holders." Both artists shared the post to their Instagram stories without further comment.
The announcement came two hours before the doors were set to open. While many fans were frustrated with the last-minute notice, others took to the comments with humour.

One person said: "I grew my armpit hair out for 3 months for this! 🥲 ,” while another wrote: "ok who wants to marry my partner and i now that we travelled from alberta and have a bc marriage licence lmfao,” referring to Dacus’ recent announcement of being ordained — although she is only able to wed couples in the U.S.
A fellow fan bluntly suggested: “Girl take an advil…," while someone else commented on the West Coast travel: "ferries are expensive fml." Another commenter still wanted a performance, despite Dacus’s absence: "Pull up to fantacity karaoke fr we doing the setlist.”
On TikTok, one user made light of the cancellation, playing into the Charli XCX “girl, so confusing” trend — they strut to the Vancouver venue’s doors, spot the rescheduled notice on the window and confidently walk away.

Dacus recently performed at Montreal’s Osheaga music festival, where she also duetted with The Killers, and is set to resume her Forever Is a Feeling tour on August 16 in Berkeley, California.
