Rufus Du Sol Reflect on Ending Their Biggest Era in Toronto: 'Overwhelmed With Gratitude'

Toronto celebrated the end of an era with Rufus du Sol.
The renowned dance music group wrapped up their international Inhale/Exhale tour with a final stop at Toronto's Rogers Centre on Sept. 5, capping off a year-and-a-half-long trek comprised of more than 80 shows that became the highest-grossing electronic music tour of all-time.
Rufus du Sol circled back to Toronto with a massive venue upgrade, after playing RBC Amphitheatre (formerly Budweiser Stage) in July 2025 during the tour's first leg (they worked all the way up from the 350-cap Wrongbar in 2014). This time, they treated a sold-out stadium crowd to their signature euphoric style, pairing it with all sorts of eye candy.

"Toronto, I was overwhelmed with gratitude looking out at all of you on Saturday night," drummer James Hunt wrote on Instagram. "It’s been hard to process that after two years, it was the last full length headline show for Inhale / Exhale. Such a surreal and unforgettable experience getting to share our music with so many of you, all over the world. Thank you to everyone who made the send off so special."
The captivating, two-hour set was an audiovisual experience complete with lasers, pyrotechnics and confetti. It was enhanced by the Rogers Centre's open roof, which unveiled an unparalleled view of the CN Tower. The landmark shone different colours throughout the set, flashing in rainbow hues as the electronic musicians performed their massive fan-favourite, "Innerbloom." The song's popular buildup, a crescendo that begins with mellow drums and synths, made for one of the night's biggest moments, building towards a firework spectacle.
The show culminated in a cathartic finale with the group's encore of "Music Is Better," during which confetti rained over the crowd and pink and purple lights created a dreamy, sunset hue. Lead singer Tyrone Lindqvist laid on his back while surfing above the audience, singing the song's mantra of "music is better when we're together, listen to music" and creating a contagious feeling of union and harmony that spread throughout the stadium.

"Toronto, what a way to end this tour. Thank you for showing up," Rufus du Sol wrote in an Instagram post.
The moment was an emotional high for the trio and all of their fans in attendance, capping off nearly two years spent on the road taking their trek across North and South America, Europe and Australia.
After selling a record-setting 727,000 tickets and grossing $64 million with 46 shows in 2025, per Billboard Box Score, then embarking on another successful run of 25 shows in North America, the group is now eyeing a break from the limelight. As they said during their Aug. 6 concert in Los Angeles, Rufus du Sol will give their final performances of the year at Austin City Limits festival on Oct. 3 and 10, before stepping away "for a solid amount of time" until their next musical body of work is ready.
