Tickets Go On Sale For Billboard Canada Power Players at CN Tower

One of the global music industry’s greatest achievements is coming to Canada’s highest stage.

On Sunday, June 2 at 8 PM EST, the first-ever edition of Billboard Canada Power Players will commence at the iconic CN Tower in downtown Toronto.


Tickets for the VIP event go on sale today, honouring the most powerful and influential members of the Canadian music industry – the pioneers and the self-starters leading the way. A limited number of tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

While Billboard’s Power 100 ranks the music industry's most influential executives globally, this list will celebrate individuals pivotal in advancing Canadian music and boosting artists making a global impact.

With an overwhelming response to our call for nominations, Billboard Canada is looking forward to honouring and celebrating the inaugural Power Players award recipients this June, kicking off Canadian Music Week.

The official list will be unveiled on May 30, 2024.

Chartbreaker: Hanumankind’s Breakthrough Went Global — Now, He’s Running With the ‘Big Dawgs’

The rap hit has reached No. 23 on the Hot 100 and topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart.

When “Big Dawgs,” the riotous song by Indian rapper Hanumankind and producer Kalmi, began spreading across the world in July, its creators couldn’t fully appreciate its impact. Despite sites like YouTube and Reddit signaling the song’s crossover appeal, Hanumankind and his team were largely in the dark about its impact on TikTok — including the more than 1 million posts using the track to date — since India banned the platform in 2020.

“We’re hearing about this going crazy, but we can’t wrap our heads around [it],” Hanumankind tells Billboard. “We’re sitting at home like, ‘I guess this is happening. Let’s strap in.’ ”
