Elton John to Perform Surprise Show to Open London’s Apple Music Hall: See Opening Season Lineup
John will christen the new London venue with a performance on Monday (Sept. 28) followed by shows from Charli xcx, Burna Boy & more.

Sir Elton John, Charli xcx, Burna Boy and Troye Sivan are among the acts performing at Apple Music Hall’s opening season in London.
The 600-capacity venue at Battersea Power Station will open on Monday (Sept. 28) with a performance from John, with tickets on sale that same day (9 a.m. U.K. time) from the venue’s official website.
Baby Keem, Skye Newman, Arlo Parks and Chase & Status will also join the opening run of shows before the end of 2026. See the full show dates below.
John’s performance will be his first public U.K. performance in over three years, having wrapped his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour at Glastonbury Festival in June 2023. John has sporadically performed live since, most recently at Brazil’s Rock in Rio festival on Sept. 7.
This isn’t the first time that John has performed at the iconic London landmark. In 2014, he performed a private concert at the venue to mark the building’s residential and commercial redevelopment. On Tuesday, Apple announced the opening of its new state-of-the-art space which features a 48-speaker spatial audio system and a customizable 38-foot-wide stage.
The space also includes two dedicated recording and mix studios, and is hardwired to for 16 or more cameras that purpose-built broadcast control room so that artists can capture a multitude of content at the shows.
In 2022, the tech giant officially opened their London HQ at the Battersea location. The revamped area features studios for Apple Music Radio’s London-based hosts to broadcast from.
Apple has also revealed it has partnered with UK promoter Communion ONE to support bookings and promotion at Apple Music Hall. Mazin Tappuni, a managing director at Communion ONE, said, “Apple Music Hall is a fantastic venue, like nothing fans will have ever seen before. The production quality is world class, livestreaming to fans across the world, from a live room where every square foot has the artist and their fans in mind.”
