It's a holiday weekend, but Good Friday hasn't stopped the slew of releases on New Music Friday,.

Heading up notable new releases this week is GMINXR. Fresh from a Juno Awards performance, the internationally renowned Punjabi-Canadian producer now has his own release, Hit List, featuring Tegi Pannu and Zehr Vibe. It's out on 91 North Records, the label collaboration between Warner Music India and Warner Music Canada. The five-song EP is inspired by both golden era hip-hop and Punjabi folk music, and infused with GMINXR's trademark trap beats.

The ever-prolific Neil Young is also back, with the original soundtrack toCoastal, the film documentary exploration of Young's 2023 solo tour, directed by wife Daryl Hannah. The OST features 11 songs taken from that tour, and was released yesterday (April 17) to coincide with the one-night-only screening of the film worldwide.

Canadian-turned-Kiwi roots/country vocal powerhouse Tami Neilson will deliver Neon Cowgirl on July 11. Having Willie Nelson as a big fan has boosted her career, and they're currently touring together. Check out her brand new video with JD McPherson below.

New Pornographers ‘Absolutely Shocked’ After Drummer Joe Seiders Arrested For Possession of Child Pornography

Group "immediately" severed ties with the musician who joined the group in 2014.

The New Pornographers have “immediately” severed ties with drummer Joe Seiders after the longtime member of the rock collective was arrested in Palm Desert, CA for possession of child pornography.

According to a press release from the Riverside Sheriff’s office, Seiders was arrested after officers were dispatched to investigate a report of suspicious activity on April 7 at a Chick-Fil-A restaurant, where an 11-year-old boy told officers that an unknown man had recorded him on a cell phone while he was using the bathroom. Two days later, police said an employee at the same restaurant reported that the man was seen entering and exiting the restroom with juvenile males.
