In celebration of the 35th anniversary of their major label debut record Mental Jewelry, the multi-platinum U.S. rock band has announced their Like A Rollin’ Thunder Tour 2026, which includes a 14-date Canadian tour.

The Like A Rollin’ Thunder Tour marks the Ed Kowalczyk-fronted band's return to the Great White North in over 20 years. On this upcoming, nationwide trek, Live are teaming up with Canadian rockers Big Wreck, who are gearing up for the release of their new album, The Rest of the Story, in October.

The cross-country trek kicks off in Abbotsford, B.C., on February 23. The band will play 14 shows across the country, including stops in Calgary, Winnipeg and Hamilton, ON’s new venue, TD Coliseum, before concluding on March 14 in Halifax. On select dates, they'll be joined by special guests Econoline Crush and the Damn Truth.

Produced by Talking Heads keyboardist and guitarist Jerry Harrison, Mental Jewelry previously peaked at No. 73 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 200. It features tracks “Operation Spirit (The Tyranny of Tradition) and “Pain Lies on the Riverside,” both of which peaked on the U.S. Billboard Modern Rock airplay chart at No. 9 and No. 24, respectively — now fans get to hear the album that started their journey before their even bigger breakout, 1994's Throwing Copper.

Calgary Stampede Sees 30% Uptick In Noise Complaints In 2026

As of Thursday morning (July 9), the Calgary city has logged 186 noise complaints related to outdoor music tents and events. The Cowboys Music Festival has reached the same number of complaints as it did during the entire festival last year, with three days left to go.

The Calgary Stampede continues to buzz throughout the city, and so does the ongoing controversy around noise curfews.

The famed rodeo, exhibition and outdoor festival is receiving a higher number of noise compared to last year, with the city logging 186 noise complaints related to its outdoor music tents and events as of Thursday morning (July 9), a 30% increase according to Livewire Calgary. The complaints follow a period of controversy following noise reduction bylaws and curfews that were imposed on the Stampede's outdoor music tents and other festivals in Calgary, just weeks before they were scheduled to begin.
