Sidhu Moose Wala's spirit is alive on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.

On the chart dated Oct. 31, the late Punjabi-Canadian rapper debuts at No. 69 with “Kaali Hoodie,” featuring Punjabi music icon Bohemia, who has been coined "the Desi pioneer of hip hop."

It’s Moose Wala’s 14th posthumous release and his latest chart hit on the Canadian Hot 100. With hard-hitting bass, punchy 808s and driving percussion, the hip-hop track finds the two acts trying to balance their desire to stay true to their roots while enjoying the luxuries of being famous.

The entry comes just over a week after the news that Moose Wala’s Signed to God hologram tour was postponed. Two arena shows went ahead as planned in Canada, one at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena and another at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena earlier this month, and coincided with the release of new music.

Shows scheduled for Calgary and in the U.S. were postponed “in light of the current situation in Punjab and the ongoing protests following the death of activist Parminder Singh Jhota," Moose Wala’s father, Balkaur Singh, shared on Instagram. “I assure you that very soon I will be among you, and I will bring your brother Sidhu Moose Wala to you in an even bigger and better way,” he concluded. Rescheduled dates have yet to be announced.

The Toronto stop was a star-studded affair, with a stacked list of major guest performers, including AP Dhillon, Sunny Malton, Steel Banglez and AR Paisley and more. During both nights, the late Punjabi rapper appeared onstage as a hologram for the first time since his 2022 murder.

The late superstar’s father told Billboard India that before his son’s death, ideas for a hologram tour started. “He had started discussing concerts where he wouldn’t necessarily have to be physically present, and that was when the idea of using hologram technology began to take shape,” Singh said.

Four years since Moose Wala’s passing, he has continued to achieve success in Canada. His project Moosetape was the highest-charting Punjabi album in Canada at the time, reaching No. 33 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart in August 2022, only a few months after his death.

Meanwhile, posthumous hits like "Barota," “The Lock,” “Attach” with producer Steel Banglez and U.K. rapper Fredo, his Brampton-boosting hit with Sunny Malton, "410" and "Drippy" have all landed on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.
