We've updated our calendar of new and upcoming Canadian albums, and there's one name that dominates the list: The Weeknd... soon to be known just as Abel Tesfaye. The artist's new album Hurry Up Tomorrow is reportedly the final album global superstar Tesfaye will deliver under that name. Stream it here.

Other artists releasing new music this week include progressive pop artist Christian Sean, queer-pop singer-songwriter Charlie Houston, acclaimed singer-songwriter Gus Engelhorn, perennial pop favourite Jann Arden, dream-pop songstress N Nao, Simply Saucer mainman Edgar Breau (a solo effort) and intense Toronto rock trio Featurette.

Those announcing upcoming album release dates recently include Hall of Famers Rush (with a career retrospective), Men Without Hats, (a live album), Polaris Prize winner Pierre Kwenders, roots singer-songwriter Amanda Rheaume, Toronto rockers Casper Skulls and Shiv and The Carvers and promising newcomers Bells Larsen and A Short Walk To Pluto.
