After last week's drop of Drake & PartyNextDoor's joint album, this week brings another album from a Canadian music a-lister. Tate McRae's new album So Close To What is out now after a nice run of viral singles. She also performs on SNL on March 1.

Veteran singer-songwriter Basia Bulat is also releasing Basia’s Palace, her eighth album. Other artists with new albums this week include punk veterans Silverstein, synth-pop favourites Men Without Hats, Montreal-based jazz pianist and composer Ariane Racicot, acclaimed classical music artists Christina Petrowska Quilico & Jacques Israelievitch and highly-touted pop newcomer Saya Gray.


Those announcing new album release dates include acclaimed indie rock heroes Lowest Of The Low, acclaimed roots singer-songwriter Jerry Leger, up and coming soul vocalist Kelly Bado, Montreal pop artist Laraw, adventurous composer and musician Nick Storring, country songsmith Don Amero and eclectic Montreal composer and singer Karneef.

Tia Wood Hits New Heights With 'Sky High' on the Billboard Canadian All-Format Airplay Chart

Homegrown acts are making debuts on the Canadian Airplay charts, with Valley, Pelch, Mae Martin and Tebey all hitting the charts.

Singer Tia Wood has notched a new entry on the Canada All-Format radio airplay chart this week.

On the chart dated February 22, the singer, who hails from Saddle Lake Cree Nation on Treaty 6 territory, arrives with "Sky High" at No. 47. The cool R&B track is a showcase for Wood's sultry vocal, which impressed the crowd at Billboard Canada Women in Music last fall.
