Three Days Grace
After 11 weeks, the Ontario rock titans rise to the top spot again with "Don't Wanna Go Home Tonight," their fourth song from their 2025 album to reach the No. 1 spot. Meanwhile, Finn Wolfhard’s “Follow” debuts on Modern Rock.
Three Days Grace have landed yet another new No. 1 hit on the Billboard Canada Airplay charts.
The Ontario rockers' song climbs to the No. 1 spot with “Don’t Wanna Go Home Tonight” on the Billboard Canada Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, dated Aug. 29. It’s been just under three months since the track debuted on the chart.
It’s the latest single from the group's eighth studio album, Alienation, released in 2025. A reunion with original lead singer Adam Gontier and a debut of their dual-frontman lineup alongside Matt Walst, the album has become a major late career resurgence — especially on the Billboard Canada Airplay charts.
"Go Home" is their fourth No. 1 from the album after “Mayday,” “Apologies” and most recently, “Kill Me Fast.” Billboard Canada covered their chart resurgence in last year’s Global No. 1s cover story, and they haven't slowed on the momentum since then.
“Don’t Wanna Go Home Tonight” sees the band reflecting on their earlier years in the ‘90s. Vocals by both singers fondly recall their youth: “I've been thinkin' 'bout the good times / When the story was still ours to write.”
The nostalgic track is accompanied by a throwback music video filmed in the band’s hometown of Asphodel-Norwood, Ontario. Spliced between modern clips, the video features old home videos and photos of the band members growing up.
On the Modern Rock Airplay chart, Finn Wolfhard debuts at No. 40 with “Follow,” a classic indie rock sounding track that features a jangly guitar lick.
Co-written by Wolfhard and Clay Frankel, the B.C. musician, actor and former star of Stranger Things tells Billboard it’s one of the oldest on his latest album — and second LP as a solo artist — Fire From The Hip, sharing that the first demo came in 2019 when he was still a teenager. The song is built up of lyrically lonely verses, then culminates in an explosive, smitten chorus that declares: “No matter where you are I’ll follow.”
“To me, it’s the duality of these two things,” Wolfhard said. “It’s this idea between second-guessing yourself about feelings you have, and lust versus actual love, and trying to find something pure.”
On the All-Format chart, Josh Stumpf arrives at No. 50 with “Johnnie Walker (Back To Me),” while fellow country singer Austin Ryder wants to “Remember The Feeling,” at No. 52 on Canada Country.
Meanwhile, Cameron Whitcomb is anything but the “Kingdom of Fear” as the genre-blending singer-songwriter debuts at No. 30 on AC. Whitcomb’s song of the summer has officially landed on all seven of the Billboard Canada Airplay charts, with its highest placements at No. 5 on All-Format and No. 6 on CHR/Top 40. It's also become his highest charting hit on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, where it sits at No. 3 for the second week.
The Sheepdogs notch the only debut on Mainstream Rock with “Bad For Your Health,” at No. 39.
Naomi Sharon, the first woman signed to Drake’s label OVO, earns her debut entry on Hot AC with “Was It Ever Love” at No. 31. Blending Sharon’s Dutch-Caribbean roots with her atmospheric, neo-soul sound, the airy vocals and raw emotional honesty in her storytelling confirm that the track is a masterclass in vulnerability.
At the top of the charts, Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” rises to No. 1 on AC in its 10th week on the chart, while the Toy Story 5 hit holds down the top spot on All-Format for another week. But on Country, Swift’s song is dethroned by newcomer Stella Lefty, whose viral TikTok hit “Boston” rises two spots to No. 1.
Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drop Dead” maintains its No. 1 position on CHR/Top 40, along with Tame Impala & JENNIE’s “Dracula” on Hot AC. Over on Modern Rock, Toronto trio Valley might have a No. 1 hit on their hands, as their track “Vending Machine” climbs from No. 5 back to its No. 2 peak this week.
