The global Punjabi hitmaker has reached $32 million across 15 shows in support of his acclaimed album, Aura.
Dilijit Dosanjh has broken another big record — his own.
According to Live Nation, the Punjabi artist's North American Aura Tour, in support of his acclaimed album, Aura, has grossed $32 million, becoming the biggest North American tour by a Punjabi artist.
Dosanjh performed at 15 sold-out shows across the continent with multiple dates in Canada, including stops in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Toronto. Before Dosanjh took the stage at the latter Canadian stop at Rogers Centre, he went backstage to meet with students from Toronto Metropolitan University and Billboard Canada’s university course dedicated to the singer.
The hitmaker’s most recent North American outing reportedly drew in over 225,000 fans — that’s compared to the 215,000 fans and $27 million generated by 2024’s Dil-Luminati Tour.
Live Nation confirms that Dosanjh set the largest North American presale record by a South Asian artist in the company’s history. “Love. Sold out North America tour. We did it folks. Thank you so much!” the Punjabi star wrote on social media after tickets went on sale.
Dosanjh’s continental trek kicked off at Vancouver’s BC Place on April 23, and wrapped up with two nights at San Francisco’s Chase Center on June 20 and 21.
His tour dates included multiple stops in major music markets. Notably, New York, where he performed two nights at Madison Square Garden, which made Dosanjh the first South Asian artist to play two sold-out performances at the venue.
Last October, the Aura Tour opened globally in Sydney and Melbourne, amassing more than 90,000 fans, reportedly also the first sold-out stadium headline shows by a Punjabi artist in Australia.
Throughout Dosanjh’s run, he transformed both arenas and stadiums into a lively, colourful wonderland, with bhangra dancers, pyrotechnics and staging that celebrated his Punjabi heritage.
“It's about showing the world what Punjabi music can do. We have the energy, the stories, the beats to make your heart happy, no matter where you are from,” he said.
But it doesn’t stop there. Dosanjh is continuing to break records as he heads to the U.K. this September. During his Toronto show, he announced his forthcoming show at London’s Wembley Stadium, which will make him the first-ever Punjabi artist to headline the iconic 90,000 capacity venue.
