The viral Scouse rapper returned to the stage for the second leg of his Rebel tour after his major viral rise and chart breakthrough at Montreal's Théâtre Fairmount on Friday night (Jan. 30).
EsDeeKid's victory lap has officially begun.
The U.K. rapper took stage at Montreal's Théâtre Fairmount last night (Jan. 30), kicking off the second leg of his Rebel tour. It marked his return to the stage after a red hot rise in popularity over the past few months.
EsDeeKid is clearly ready for much bigger stages, but is rocking a series of extremely sold-out venues in North America first.
His Rebel mixtape and several of its tracks first impacted the Billboard Canadian Albums chart and the Canadian Hot 100 in November 2025, going on to climb even further (he has four songs charting on this week's Canadian Hot 100). After a conspiracy theory alleging that the Liverpool rapper's true identity was Timothée Chalamet went viral, the actor joined him on a remix of "4 Raws" that boasts over 3.6 million likes and nearly 60 million views on Instagram.
Given Théâtre Fairmount's sub-600-person capacity and tickets selling out instantly, EsDeeKid's Montreal show only became increasingly in-demand as his popularity rose. Months of anticipation finally culminated into an explosive, energetic concert before an eager, packed-out crowd.
EsDeeKid kicked off his show with the booming "Rottweiler" (which includes a namecheck to Canada on the chorus), rocking a white face-covering that he removed shortly after to reveal his signature black ski mask. The crowd was immediately energized and the rapper did not let up, delivering the viral "4 Raws" followed quickly by other booming tracks like "Prague" and "Dirty." Mosh pits took over the floor.
He asked if there were any day one EsDeeKid fans in the building, then launched into his debut single "Apathy" and "Ferragamo," two early career standouts. Frequent collaborator and fellow underground breakout Rico Ace joined him onstage for the gloomy anthem "Phantom," which had the floor shaking as the crowd jumped and chanted. Ace gave a brief solo set, keeping the crowd energized with call and response on "Gettin' It In" and moving across the stage with agility while performing his freshly-released single "Malibu."
EsDeeKid joined him for the animated "Bally" and the woozy "Palaces" before turning up the dial with back-to-back Rebel hits. The crowd roared after he accepted a Quebec flag from a fan, which he donned and carried around for the remainder of the concert. As fans chanted "Olé, Olé, Olé," he surprised them by jumping right into his breakthrough "LV Sandals" (which fakemink performed alongside Drake during his Wireless Festival headline set in 2025.) "You man are f---ing crazy," he told the audience, impressed by Montreal's energy throughout the night.
The show culminated into the eerie "Century," EsDeeKid's most recent release and latest viral hit. Fans shouted along to its addictive chorus as both rappers jumped energetically onstage, before the Scouse artist gave a farewell to the crowd. After begging for one more song, the audience received a repeat performance of "Phantom" and "Cali Man," further fuelling the adrenaline in the room.
With a concise 40-minute runtime, EsDeeKid's North American debut was an energizing offering of every track on Rebel, plus early fan favourites from himself and Rico Ace. As the British rapper's hype and audience continue to grow, he's already enthralled them with just one mixtape and they're clearly ready for more.
