R&B Duo Majid Jordan Enter the Billboard Canada Airplay Charts With ‘Strangers’
The Canadian act — who are signed to Drake’s OVO Sound — debut at No. 29 on Contemporary Hit Radio/Top 40 radio, alongside entries from Jessie Reyez, Frank Walker and more.

Majid Jordan have hit the Billboard Canada Airplay charts, continuing their radio run in their home country.
The Canadian-Bahraini R&B duo debuts at No. 29 on the Contemporary Hit Radio/Top 40 Airplay chart, with their track “Strangers,” dated Nov. 7.
On the atmospheric track, vocalist Majid Al Maskati and producer Jordan Ullman unpack a relationship that has lost its spark and the desire to let two people become strangers again to rediscover their connection. “You go / we could be strangers in different places,” Al Maskati sings, over moody synths and bright pop sounds.
It’s the most recent single from their fifth studio album — and their latest release on Drake’s OVO Sound label — Two Roads. It’s the follow-up to 2023’s Good People.

Their latest chart entry comes nearly 15 years after the duo’s breakout feature on Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” which reached the top 5 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 in 2013.
“Strangers” is the latest Airplay chart entry for Al Maskati and Ullman, following their hit “Life 2” in 2025. It landed at No. 68 on the 2025 Year-End Canada CHR/Top 40 chart.
Jessie Reyez Scores New Entry on CHR/Top 40 Following SOCAN Award Win
At No. 31, Jessie Reyez debuts with “99%.” It’s a standout track from the R&B singer’s latest album, A Little Vengeance. It’s an unapologetic, high-energy breakup anthem that sees Reyez detailing the ups and downs of a toxic relationship, while vowing to move forward — sort of. “I'm about 99% sure we're done,” she sings.
Reyez’s latest Airplay chart entry comes days after the Toronto-born act received the international achievement award at this year’s SOCAN Awards ceremony. She was honoured alongside Drake (who wasn't there), rising singer-songwriter Jade LeMac and composer Peter Peter, among others.
Nickelback, Frank Walker, Big Wreck & More Debut New Tracks
There are a slew of new tracks from Canadian artists on this week’s Airplay charts.
Tate McRae’s “Housewife” and Charlotte Cardin’s “Memories” debut on All-Format at No. 43 and Adult Contemporary at No. 25, respectively.

Meanwhile, country stars Jade Eagleson and Midland team up on “Coming Soon To A Honky Tonk Near You” at No. 46 on All-Format.
On CHR/Top 40, Frank Walker & Alexandra Stewart find the “Missing Piece” at No. 34, while Nickelback arrives at No. 33 on Hot Adult Contemporary with “Make Me Love You.” On Canada Country, Nate Haller “Called It" at No. 54, Sully Burrows vows not to “Leave You Lonely” at No. 56, while Brock Phillips and Dallas Smith collaborate on “Leave Me Like A Backroad,” which arrives at No. 58.
Big Wreck hits No. 32 with “Holy Roller” on Mainstream Rock, while Autumn Kings round out the chart at No. 40 with “Gone, Gone, Gone.”
Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Stupid Song’ Claims the No. 1 Spot on CHR/Top 40
After 14 weeks, Olivia Rodrigo has secured the top spot on CHR/Top 40, dethroning Ariana’s Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” which falls to No. 2. Rodrigo’s rise to No. 1 follows her recent sold-out shows in Montreal and Toronto. Meanwhile, Cameron Whitcomb’s “Kingdom of Fear,” Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero” and Tame Impala & JENNIE’s smash hit “Dracula” maintain their respective No. 1 positions on All-Format, AC and Hot AC.

Nickelback Remain at No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Chart
For three weeks, Nickelback and John 5 have held onto the No. 1 spot on Mainstream Rock with their collaborative hit “Rattle The Cage,” which additionally became the group’s first No. 1 radio hit in the U.S. in over a decade.
Cage the Elephant climb from No. 3 to No. 2 on Mainstream Rock with “Beaches in Tennessee,” taking the place of Three Days Grace’s former chart-topping hit “Don’t Wanna Go Home Tonight.” It’s already a No. 1 hit on the Modern Rock Airplay chart, where it has sat for multiple weeks.

Over on the Country chart, Morgan Wallen holds down the top spot for a second week with “Been By Now.”
