It looks like Drake could have more music in the tank.
Early this morning (Aug. 21), the Toronto superstar made a cryptic Instagram post featuring a photo of a CD case with the phrase "FEAR OF MISSING OUT" inscribed on the back cover.
Simply captioned "🎥," the post has triggered loads of speculation online, with fans trying to decipher its meaning and wondering if the rapper is hinting at new music on the horizon. The hype is clearly present, with the post garnering over 900,000 likes in the first nine hours. It's not the first time he's used the slogan either, as he recently wrote "FOMO 2026" underneath a recent carousel featuring vintage photos of his mother, which was posted on Aug. 12.

Drake flooded the charts earlier this year with his trilogy of albums Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti, the latter two of which were revealed as last-minute surprises during his Iceman Episode 4 livestream, which coincided with his album release. The three records were a smash success on the charts, all landing in the top 4 of the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, with Iceman bowing in at No. 1 and maintaining its position for four consecutive weeks before earning a fifth week atop the chart in July.
The 43 songs released across the three albums have continued to dominate worldwide, with 40 of them landing on Spotify's Global Impact list for the first half of 2026, which highlights the most-played Canadian artists outside of the country. Drake accounts for a staggering 80% of the list, which only includes 50 songs and is topped by the hit single "Janice STFU," his record-breaking 14th No. 1 song in Canada. Within just two months of being released, Iceman ranked as the second-highest-selling album of 2026 in Canada, per Luminate's mid-year report.

Drake has kept a high profile since his album release, making headlines by hosting tons of giveaways and social events around Toronto. This week, the rapper flew streamer and cosplayer Pinkchyu, the winner of his viral "20 v. 1" dating challenge during the Stake anniversary livestream, to Toronto for a private sushi dinner. He reportedly rented out Casa Loma in Toronto for the occasion, an elegant 98-room, 200,000-square-foot castle, which the pair had to themselves.
It's the latest grand gesture by Drizzy, who has been gifting the ladies all sorts lately. At his Stronger Women, Stronger Drinks event in Toronto, he treated all attendees to a $1,000 welcome gift, gave away cash prizes worth $50,000 and $100,000 and even raffled off luxury cars including a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. Back in June, his Janice apology parties also included a raffle for a $5,000 cash prize.
As Drake potentially gears up for another rollout, he's ushering in a new era for Canadian music by expanding its concert scene. Earlier this week, he celebrated the opening of History Ottawa, the first extension of the Toronto venue which he is a partner of alongside Live Nation. "I will be there to drop off my personal touch to Ottawa soon," he said on Instagram, teasing a possible in-person appearance in the foreseeable future.
