Originally gaining recognition as a duo with singer-songwriter Jamie Fine, the duo won the first season of CTV reality show The Launch and went on to release a series of gold singles, as well as the double-platinum “Ain’t Easy.” Following the dissolution of the collaborative project, Woods has made a strong impression with his solo music.

The pop singer released five EPs in four years, building a steady and strong connection with his fans. His debut album, Can We Talk? arrived last October. Calling it “the most personal project I’ve ever made,” in a statement, the record blends Woods' knack for raw vulnerability with irresistible hooks, with tracks like "Could You Love Me?" and "I Miss You," reaching millions of streams.

Days before the announcement of his signing, Woods released Dolly, a new five-track EP.

Woods notes that the connection with Simkin Artist Management was instant.

“I’ve always trusted my gut when it comes to the people I work with, and this felt right from day one,” he says. “Jonathan and Isaac have incredible taste, experience, and vision — they really understand what I’m building and how to take it global without losing what makes it special.”

Woods will be dually represented by Simkin, founder and owner of 604 Records. With a decades-long career spanning music law, label leadership and artist management, Simkin has worked with some of the country’s most successful artists, including rock band Nickelback, pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen and pop-rock group Marianas Trench.

Simkin shares that he discovered Woods and his former producing partner when they toured with Marianas Trench in 2019.

“I was very impressed by him at the time, and have followed his career since. I have watched his growth as an artist with great admiration, and when we had the opportunity to get involved as management, it was a no brainer!” Simkin says. “We could not be more excited about being involved with the next stage of Elijah’s career.”

Markinson adds, “Elijah has an incredibly clear creative identity and a deep connection with his fans. This signing is about long-term growth — building globally while staying true to the emotional honesty that defines his music.”
