Angine de Poitrine Makes Major Moves on the Billboard Charts Following Blockbuster CD and Vinyl Release
The Billboard Canada Global Breakthrough Award winners land both of their albums, Vol. I and Vol. II, on this week's Billboard 200, Top Album Sales and Top Vinyl Albums and more charts almost solely based on sales from their June 12 physical release.

Angine de Poitrine's global breakthrough has hit the charts following a massive vinyl and CD release.
The polka-dotted extraterrestrials from Quebec have landed on several of this week's Billboard charts dated June 27, 2026 with their two albums, Vol. I and Vol. II, following their physical release on June 12.
Vol. II debuts at No. 44 on the Billboard 200 with 18,000 album equivalent units, while Vol. I follows at No. 53 with 17,000 units, per Luminate. The vinyl and CD release of both albums is a key driver, with most units coming from physical sales.
The band first hit the Billboard Canadian Albums with the 2026 release of Vol. II back in April, making an impressive debut at No. 11. Although the album doesn't appear on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart this week, the boost from the physical release has pushed Vol. II back onto the Billboard Top Canadian Album Sales chart, where it reaches a new peak of No. 11.

Both Vol. I and Vol. II have made their way across multiple American chars as well this week. Respectively, the albums chart at No. 2 and No. 3 on Billboard Top Dance Albums, No. 3 and No. 4 on Top Album Sales and both albums enter at No. 2 and No. 3 on Top Vinyl Albums for the first time ever.
Vol. I and Vol. II also debut at No. 11 and No. 8 respectively on this week's Billboard Alternative Albums chart, and at No. 12 and No. 9 on Billboard Top Rock Albums.
Angine de Poitrine first gained notoriety through their breakthrough KEXP performance, which currently sits at 16 million views and catapulted them to Internet fame. Paired with their newfound success, the release of Vol. II shortly after (April 3) resulted in blockbuster demand for the band's music, with the local Quebec pressing plant Drummond Vinyl receiving a rush order for 30,000 copies, benefitting immensely as one of only two vinyl plants in the entire province.

They subsequently signed a publishing deal with Third Side Music and partnered with international distrbutors worldwide for the June 12 physical issue of Vol. II, including ATO Records and AMPED in the U.S., their own Spectacles Bonzaï in Quebec and FAB in the rest of Canada.
Angine de Poitrine made a surprise appearance at Billboard Canada Power Players at NXNE in the days leading up to the release to accept the Global Breakthrough Award (itself a viral appearance), and their manager Sébastien Collin revealed during his Manager on the Rise acceptance speech at Billboard Canada Managers to Watch 2026 that Vol. II sold over 200,000 vinyl pre-orders globally ahead of June 12, with more than 30 record stores in the United States opening at midnight specifically to sell the album.
The band's red-hot success follows them wherever they go, and these Billboard chart placements are just the latest example. Earlier this week, the band made their British television debut on Later... with Jools Holland, performing Vol. II cuts "Fabienk" and "Sarniezz" while guesting alongside Canadian legend Shania Twain, plus Arlo Parks and Sam Smith.
