Olivia Rodrigo has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, following her shows in Montreal and Toronto.
The pop superstar climbs 2-1 with you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, on the Nov. 7-dated chart. Released in June, it marks the album’s fourth non-consecutive week atop the chart. Rodrigo’s rise back to No. 1 follows her string of sold-out shows in Montreal and Toronto.

All 13 songs on you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love are charting this week on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, with many remaining their since their June debut.

Tate McRae Spends a Second Week at No. 1 on the Canadian Hot 100 With ‘Housewife’
After debuting at No. 1 last week, Tate McRae’s “Housewife” notches a second week at No. 1 on the Canadian Hot 100. It’s the Calgary-born superstar’s second single to reach the top in her home country, following 2023’s “Greedy.”
“Housewife” ushers in a new era for McRae. The song sees her flipping the term’s traditional narrative on its head, as she boldly sings about a life that’s full of yachts, “loads of cash” and “prеcious cars.” Previously, she said the Ryan Tedder and Grant Boutin-produced track was about “a woman who can’t be contained.”
The song has not reached the No. 1 spot in the U.S., where she now resides, as Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" remains in the top spot. It has, however, hot the apex on the Billboard Global 200, where it remains at No. 1 for a second week.
In the U.S., she has one chart-topper, with her Morgan Wallen collaboration, “What I Want,” rising to the top last year.
In her second week at the top with "Housewife" in Canada, she ties the two week No. 1 streak of "Greedy." If she can hold the spot next week, it will be her longest hit in her home country.

Ella Langley’s “Choosin Texas” Creeps Back to No. 2
While McRae holds down the top spot, Ella Langley might be gearing up to reclaim her position at at the top, as the country superstar’s hit “Choosin’ Texas” climbs back from No. 3 to No. 2 on this week’s Canadian Hot 100.
Before the debut of "Housewife,” the emotional country ditty spent 23 non-consecutive weeks atop the chart — making it the second-longest No. 1 of all time on the chart, sitting behind Shaboozey's “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which spent 25 weeks at No. 1. Most recently, Langley was dethroned by Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero,” but Swift only spent one week at No. 1 before Langley reclaimed the position. As Langley climbs closer to that No. 1 spot, she could still very well surpass Shaboozey’s record.

Another artist contending for No. 1 is Canada’s own Cameron Whitcomb with “Kingdom of Fear.” It moves back up to No. 3 from No. 5, reclaiming the spot he previously held for multiple weeks.
Montreal's Alex Henry Foster Charts ‘The Fragile Beauty (Of New Morning Hopes)’
Alex Henry Foster, also of Your Favourite Enemies has returned with his fourth solo album, The Fragile Beauty (Of New Morning Hopes).
The Montreal-based artist debuts at No. 31 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, sitting between two major catalogue pop albums: Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream (No. 30) and Rihanna’s Good Girl Gone Bad (No. 32).
The Fragile Beauty (Of New Morning Hopes) is an intimate look at Foster's recovery from major heart surgery as he describes the project as “metamorphosis from one life to another." Moving seamlessly between drone soundscapes, post-rock and industrial elements, the project embraces multiple genres, and even features poetic spoken-word pieces. The track "Good Omen" features the late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish, whom Foster says influenced the album’s direction.
“I didn't want to be a shadow of myself,” Foster says of returning to music and releasing The Fragile Beauty (Of New Morning Hopes). “Instead of being afraid of losing something essential, I chose to find and accept this new version of me. This is another evolution."
It’s Foster’s latest album to hit the charts in his home country, following 2024’s Kimiyo, a collaborative album with Japanese vocalist Momoka Tobari at No. 12, 2021’s Standing Under Bright Lights, the live album of Foster’s Festival International de Jazz de Montréal performance and his highest-charting entry at No. 4, followed by 2018’s Windows in the Sky, which reached No. 6.
