The Weeknd is once again an American Music Awards winner.
The Canadian singer took home two awards at the 51st edition of the AMAs, which took place last night (May 26) at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas following the ceremony's two-year hiatus. He won the Favorite Male R&B Artist award, as well as Favorite R&B Album for his recent effort Hurry Up Tomorrow.
Although he was unable to attend the ceremony due to being on tour in Detroit, the global superstar thanked the AMAs for the "generous award" in a recorded speech.
"I'm there in spirit. I want to thank my fans for celebrating this album and this universe that we created," he said.
