Feist and Wolf Parade Perform Their ‘Heated Rivalry’ Hits at NHL Heritage Classic Game
The homegrown stars took the stage during the intermission show at the Montreal Canadiens vs. Winnipeg Jets game in Winnipeg on Oct. 25.

Feist and Wolf Parade performed some of their biggest hits at the NHL Heritage Classic in Winnipeg, bringing together pop culture and sports audiences.
On Oct. 25, the two Canadian acts took the stage during the intermission at the Montreal Canadiens vs. Winnipeg Jets game at Princess Auto Stadium. This year marked the eighth annual edition of the outdoor hockey event. Ultimately, the Canadiens won, 2-1.
Wolf Parade were the first group to perform on the outdoor stage, introduced by Off Campus actress Ella Bright, who called them an “indie rock fave.” The Montreal-formed band played a unique rendition of their 2005 hit “I’ll Believe in Anything,” which resurged in popularity following a prominent feature in the hit TV series Heated Rivalry.

Instead of starting from the beginning of the song, the group kicked off their performance during the bridge, which is sandwiched between the first verse and the second chorus. “And I could take another hit for you / And I could take away your drips for you,” frontman Spencer Krug sang. The entire group showed their support for Montreal, sporting Canadiens jerseys during their set.

Shortly after, Feist took the stage to play her respective Heated Rivalry hit, “My Moon My Man.” The beloved Canadian singer-songwriter is hot on the heels of her induction into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, where she was honoured by singer Finneas, Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy and Canadian singer-songwriter Charlotte Cornfield, with video tributes from Joe Jonas, Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Smith.
Like “I’ll Believe in Anything,” Feist’s “My Moon My Man” experienced a major resurgence after being featured in Heated Rivalry. Bright called Feist “a Canadian icon” and acknowledged her recent CSHF honour before inviting her on stage.

Since its December 2025 premiere, Heated Rivalry has been a major moment for its cast, crew and the artists featured on the Crave show’s soundtrack. While the selected songs from Feist and Wolf Parade have surged on streaming platforms like Spotify, new and old audiences are rediscovering their respective discographies. Recently, Wolf Parade reissued 2005’s Apologies to the Queen Mary and drew a packed crowd at Osheaga, along with Wet Leg and their track “mangetout.”

During last night’s intermission show, Wolf Parade and Feist shared the stage with indie rock singer Remi Wolf and Australian artist G-Flip. Both acts were featured on the Off Campus soundtrack — alongside Toronto rock act The Beaches — with Wolf guest-starring as herself in the first episode of the Prime Video series.
