Noah Kahan Leads Toronto Audience In an Oath: ‘I Solemnly Swear I Will Not S–t My Pants’
After his comments on a bathroom-related incident in Philadelphia recently went viral, the chart-topping singer-songwriter told fans at Rogers Stadium his rule: "don’t s–t on the floor."

Noah Kahan is standing on business in Toronto.
Earlier this month, the indie-folk singer-songwriter hit the road in support of his chart-topping album, The Great Divide. At his show in Philadelphia, someone reportedly used their seat as a bathroom during the June 26 concert.
“If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom I’ve pooped my pants as much as the next 29 year old but you guys gotta understand there’s a venue worker out there with a 1000 yard stare after dealing with that,” he wrote on X the day after the show.

Last night (June 28), Kahan came to Toronto for the first of two Canadian shows, this one at Rogers Stadium, and he made sure to reiterate his stance.
“Ok, this is awkward. This is awkward, and this is fresh in more ways than one — you’ll find out in a second,” he said to the Toronto audience. “When you enter this building, you enter a social contract, right?”
He continued: “Rule number two, besides don’t literally f—--g kill each other is don’t s–t on the floor,” which caused both Kahan and the crowd to burst out laughing. But the singer-songwriter meant serious business and asked the audience to engage in a communal promise.
“I solemnly swear I will not s–t my pants. And if I do, I won’t take it from my pants and put it on the floor,” which the crowd confidently repeated back to him.
Kahan then went into the crowd to answer a call on a payphone, taking the bit one step further. “Hello? The National Centre for IBS, Colitis and Diarrhea? It’s actually 1 in 4 adults [who] suffer from IBS. I’m so sorry. S–t all you f—-g want! We got more music for you,” he said before continuing the set.

After the show, Kahan simply wrote on X: “Toronto fucking insane.”
Previously, the “Dial Drunk” singer performed multiple nights at Scotiabank Arena in 2024, tapping special guests including Shawn Mendes and City and Colour’s Dallas Green to perform his major hit “Stick Season,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.
Three years after the release of the album Stick Season, it still holds a top 10 spot on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, recently grabbing No. 6 on the June 27-dated chart. Meanwhile, The Great Divide is at No. 3, after previously hitting No. 1.
The conversation about leaving a concert to go to the bathroom comes after pop singer Olivia Rodrigo — a collaborator of Kahan — recently shared that she’s experienced getting a whiff of fans in the front row wearing diapers when she’s performing on stage.
“That’s been an experience as a performer that I’ve… smelled,” she said hesitantly.
Kahan’s tour, in support of The Great Divide, continues in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 1.
