Concert of the Week
Hilary Duff, History, Toronto — January 24
Hilary Duff's comeback is getting some serious buzz. Her first concert in over a decade in London this week has taken over social media.
Duff is hitting Toronto for an extremely intimate concert at History. It’s a major shift from the last time she was in the city, when she played to almost 20,000 fans at Air Canada Centre (now Scotiabank Arena) in 2007. Almost two decades later, she’s returning to the stage for four shows on the Small Rooms, Big Nerves Tour — with a lone Canadian stop.
2025 marked the return of the former Disney star, who spent the latter part of the decade on her acting career, instead of getting behind the mic. Last September, it was announced that she would be making her return to music, signing a new deal with Atlantic Records/Warner Music Canada and a forthcoming documentary series.
Of course, Duff’s new era includes a new album, Luck…or Something, out Feb. 20. It features the singer’s comeback single “Mature,” — which peaked at No. 62 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 — and “Roommates,” a synth pop hit about “that ache for a wilder, freer time” in life.

Scoring tickets for Duff’s Canadian date at the 2,500 capacity venue sold out instantly, with tens of thousands of users ticketless in the queue. But the pop artist managed to take a stance against absurd ticket resellers, opting to allow ticket resales through Ticketmaster’s face value resale program — so there’s still some hope for fans of the “Wake Up” singer.
“I’m over the moon to be stepping on stage again. I’ve got some new songs that I can’t wait to share with you and of course some old favorites we can scream together. Duff said in a statement. “It’s been a minute and I’ve missed you. Let’s make some mems.” Now this is what dreams are made of.

More Canadian Concerts of the Week
The Offspring, Rogers Arena, Vancouver — January 24
The Offspring, known pretty fly white guys, are heading to Vancouver. Last year, the California punk rock band kicked off a global tour in support of their 2024 record, Supercharged. Now, they’re bringing their high-energy hits — new and old — into the new year. The group’s 11th studio album is a return to form with fun, melodic riffs and catchy hooks that balance harder rock elements. With over 40 years of hits, there’s no doubt that fans will have the time of their lives.

Jessie J, The Danforth Music Hall, Toronto — January 25
Did you hear? The 2010s are cool again. To prove it, British singer-songwriter Jessie J is heading across the pond to a rescheduled Canadian date, after being postponed due to her breast cancer diagnosis. While the artist, born Jessica Cornish, is touring her most recent album, 2025’s Don't Tease Me With a Good Time, attendees are eager to hear hits like “Price Tag” and Domino” — both of which cracked the top 10 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 in their heyday.

Jade Eagleson, Midway Music Hall, Edmonton — January 27
After making and releasing music for the better part of the decade, rising Canadian country singer Jade Eagleson is embarking on his first-ever solo headlining tour. It’s only fitting for the Ontario native to start in his home country before going stateside. While Eagleson hasn’t released a project since 2023, he has shared a drip of singles, including “Worth the Double” and “Do It Anyway” with Jake Worthington — both of which landed on the 2025 year-end Country Airplay chart.

Gregory Alan Isakov, Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier - Place des Arts, Montreal — January 27
In the dead of winter, listening to soft, soothing tunes is essential. Singer-songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov is bringing his folk sensibilities to the Montreal stage for an intimate evening. The South Africa-born, Colorado-based musician has often been touted for his lyricism, which soulfully explores themes of nature and introspection — instantly captivating listeners. He's set to play fan favourites like “Big Black Car” and “San Luis,” the latter of which is on 2018’s Evening Machines, and hit No. 76 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart.
