The last time Oasis played Canada, they left on a sour note. At Virgin Festival on Toronto Islands in 2008, Noel Gallagher was attacked by an intoxicated fan, who pushed him into a speaker and broke three of his ribs. It turned out to be their final time in the country, as Noel and his brother and band co-leader Liam Gallagher had a bitter sibling rivalry that took well over a decade to resolve.

Now, 16 years later, they've returned to Toronto on a much higher note: reunited for the blockbuster Oasis Live ’25 tour, beginning the North American tour at Rogers Stadium. Oasis was one of the first acts announced for the 50,000-capacity outdoor venue, and they made it count on night 1 on Sunday (August 24), delivering a packed setlist of fan-favourites despite a downpour of rain that lasted for the second half of the concert.
