All acts are set to play 40-minute sets with a 20-minute changeover — NXNE’s signature format — in over 30 of the city’s hottest venues. Anticipating hundreds of thousands of attendees over the five days, the festival is adding stages at Union Station, Billy Bishop and Pearson airports to reach music fans across the city.

This marks the second edition that Billboard Canada will work in partnership with the legendary festival. This year, Rolling Stone Canada is also a partner, further amplifying the festival’s global reach.
Last year’s festival was the biggest edition of NXNE in years, with major Billboard Canada THE STAGE shows including global pop-R&B singer Khalid headlining Sankofa Square for thousands of fans, Daniel Caesar performing an intimate setaniel Caesar performing an intimate set to return the Mod Club to its original name, The Beaches rocking out at the Bovine Sex Club, and a string of local acts in Billboard Canada Live showcases, including Ruby Waters, renforshort, New Friends and King Cruff, were sprawled out across Toronto.
This year also expands NXNE's industry focus, bringing marquee Billboard Canada events, including Power Players, Managers to Watch, Billboard Summit @ NXNE and more. A first-time addition to the event roster is the Canadian Sync Awards at NXNE, with more announcements coming soon.
