Justin Bieber's New Album 'Swag' Is Here
The Canadian pop star's seventh album dropped as a surprise today. Others releasing new music this week include Canadian/Kiwi roots star Tami Neilson, Toronto indie rock outfit Long Branch and Montreal indie rockers Karma Glider.

A day after teasing a surprise album with an Instagram photo, pop superstar Justin Bieber has released Swag, his first album since Justice in 2021, via Def Jam Recordings.The 21-song opus, his seventh studio album, features collaborations with such songwriters and producers as Carter Lang, Dylan Wiggins, Dijon, mk.gee, Daniel Chetrit, Eddie Benjamin, Knox Fortune and more. Canadian R&B star Daniel Caesar, who was featured on the 2021 No. 1 hit "Peaches," is also credited as a writer and producer on the song "Devotion." Some of the album was recorded in Iceland in April. Streaming links here.

Also releasing a new album this week is acclaimed Canadian-Kiwi country/roots vocal dynamo Tami Neilson, with Neon Cowgirl, featuring notable guests JD McPherson, Ashley McBryde, Grace Bowers, Shelly Fairchild and fellow Kiwi Neil Finn. She recently played alongside Willie Nelson (a huge fan) and Bob Dylan on the Outlaw Festival tour and performed on The Grand Ole Opry and is now touring Europe.
Others releasing new albums this week include veteran Toronto indie rockers Long Branch, with Arc Of The Sun, Montreal band Karma Glider with a debut album, From the Haze of a Revved Up Youth , Toronto-based folk/Americana artist Stan Simon with Narrow Bridge, Yellowknife indie-folk project Hughes (an eponymous debut) and New Brunswick blues/roots artist JP LeBlanc with All In My Blood--Je l’ai dans le sang, featuring lyrics by noted music journalist Larry LeBlanc.
Renowned hip-hop artist Shad has announced he will put out his seventh studio album, Start Anew, on October 31 via Secret City Records. Others announcing upcoming release dates include dance-pop duo Purity Ring (a self-titled effort on Sept. 26) and veteran roots singer-songwriter John Borra (Last Dance at The E Room on Oct 24),
