“At W Toronto, music isn’t just part of the experience, it’s at the core of who we are as a brand and our dynamic programming,” says general manager Elie Sassine. “Partnering with Billboard Canada and NXNE allows us to celebrate incredible artists while connecting more deeply with the creative communities that shape our vibrant city. We’re proud to open our doors to talent pushing culture forward and reinforcing Toronto’s role as a global music capital.”

The W Toronto is located in the heart of Downtown Toronto, just steps away from Yorkville. It is also right next to the Bloor-Yonge subway station, with the TTC being an easy way to access Billboard Canada x NXNE’s events and venues including TIFF Lightbox (Billboard Summit on June 11) and Sankofa Square (The Stage @ NXNE showcase on June 12).

“The Billboard x W Toronto collaboration is a natural extension of W’s commitment to sound and storytelling, and we couldn’t be more excited,” Sassine adds.

Billboard Canada’s partnership with NXNE reflects this mission through its combination of artist-led conversations and concerts showcasing rising artists, all of which will unfold throughout the five days of the festival.

Bryan Adams' Protest Anthem '51st State' Enters Billboard Canada Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart

The iconic singer-songwriter's protest song, released on Canada Day, debuts at No. 34 on this week's Mainstream Rock chart. Plus, Shakira and Burna Boy's "Dai Dai" climbs several airplay charts as the World Cup fever continues to rise.

Bryan Adams made a bold statement defending Canada, and it has hit the airwaves across the country.

The revered singer-songwriter enters the Billboard Canada Mainstream Rock Airplay chart at No. 36 on this week's chart, dated July 18, with his recent single "51st State." Released on Canada Day just over two weeks ago, the song is a protest anthem that is a direct response to U.S. president Donald Trump's threats on the country's sovereignty. Adams rejects the idea that Canada will ever be annexed as the 51st state.
