All over the world, fans are checking their phones to find that Harry Styles may have texted them — and it looks like the latest step in his series of teasers for a potential musical comeback.

On Wednesday (Jan. 14), listeners who signed up for messages from a phone number linked to the pop star’s WeBelongTogether.co website received a voice note recorded by someone who sounds like Styles. Singing over ambient white noise, he croons softly, “We belong together.”

Billboard has reached out to his rep for more information.

The development comes after the One Direction alum sent fans into a frenzy on Monday (Jan. 12) with the launch of the mysterious WeBelongTogether.co, which appears to be connected to him. Displaying footage of a concert crowd on a loop, the Sony Music Entertainment-copyrighted webpage directs visitors to send messages to a phone number belonging to “HSHQ.”

The messaging also aligns with that of Styles’ “Forever, Forever” performance video, which he abruptly posted online in December. At the end of the visual, “We belong together” flashes on the screen.

Fans have been waiting for what feels like forever for the Brit to release a follow-up to 2022’s Harry’s House, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and won album of the year at the Grammys. Since closing out his Love on Tour in 2023, Styles has largely stayed out of the spotlight, occasionally popping up around the world to run a major marathon or two.

Whenever he does release a new project, it’ll mark his fourth album. Before Harry’s House, he debuted as a soloist with 2017’s self-titled before dropping sophomore effort Fine Line two years later. All of his albums have ranked No. 1 on the all-genre U.S. albums chart.
