Justin Bieber put his stamp of approval on Playboi Carti‘s JB-name-dropping track “Like Weezy” from the rapper’s latest album, Music.
Bieber posted a since-expired Instagram Story of himself with “Like Weezy” playing over it. In the chorus, Carti raps, “I told her I’m big like Bieber, she ain’t believe me.” And the Atlanta rapper put up the screenshot on his @opium_00pium account Monday (March 17).
“@justinbieber WYK BOUT DAT WEEZY,” he wrote in the caption. Last week, Carti posted an Instagram clip of him FaceTiming the pop superstar while eating pasta off of his Spotify Billions Club plaque for his feature on Travis Scott’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 5 hit “FE!N.”
Fans suspected Bieber might be one of the high-profile features on Music, which dropped last Friday via AWGE and Interscope Records, after DJ Akademiks claimed on X that Carti played him a song with Bieber on it and Lyrical Lemonade founder Cole Bennett posted “00JB” on the same platform.
Music did, however, feature collaborations with Scott (“Crush,” “Philly,” “Charge Dem Hoes a Fee” and “Wake Up F1lthy”), The Weeknd (“Rather Lie”), Kendrick Lamar (“Backd00r” and “Good Credit”), Jhené Aiko (“Backd00r”), Skepta (“Toxic”), Future (“Charge Dem Hoes a Fee” and “Trim”), Lil Uzi Vert (“Jumpin” and “Twin Trim”), Young Thug (“We Need All Da Vibes”) and Ty Dolla $ign (“We Need All Da Vibes”).
Bieber wasn’t the only A-lister who co-signed Carti’s latest LP that mentioned them. Kim Kardashian posted the lyrics to “Fine S–t” on her Instagram Story Monday that name-checked her shapewear and clothing line Skims: “I bought that h- a lot of clothes, but she love her Skims/ The money gon’ talk.” The MC reposted her story and wrote back, “@KimKardashian TELL MY NIECE NORTH SEND ME A SONG.”
