Concert of the Week
NorthSideBenji, Lee’s Palace, Toronto — October 10
Nearly a decade into his career, Brampton-born NorthSideBenji is embarking on his first solo cross-country tour — a major moment in the young rapper’s career.
The sold-out show at Lee's Palace follows the release of his latest album, Misery Loves Company, on which he explored loss, internal struggles and the pursuit of success. It’s his most introspective album yet, but he told Billboard Canada that it’s ultimately a project to inspire others.

“I want to show the people listening that whatever you're going through, you have to keep going,” he said. “You've got to keep pushing. That's why I have that energy."
While the 17-track project experienced a series of delays, Misery Loves Company was released in mid-September. Now, he’s ready to play his latest project on a six-city tour across Canada.
"I want them to come in and vibe with me, feel my energy. I need to feel their energy, too,” he said. It's just some s— like that. I want to connect and I want them to look forward to that connection with me.”

ThxSoMch, Fortune Sound Club, Vancouver — October 9
Toronto artist ThxSoMch will be thanking fans for coming to his Vancouver show in support of his new album, The Sound of You Laughing. Balancing punk and rap sounds, ThxSoMch shares that he effortlessly poured himself into the vulnerable body of work. “Creating this was like a cigarette after a long craving. I hope it can be that for someone else too — a fix, a release, something to hold onto when everything else slips."

After postponing her tour earlier this year, French art pop multi-hyphenate Oklou is returning to North America to promote her debut record, Choke Enough.
