The breakthrough Quebec math rock duo has been confirmed as the Tonight Show's musical guests for Monday (Sept. 14), appearing alongside singer Becky G, actress Salma Hayek Pinault and podcaster Andrew Huberman.
The buzzy math rock aliens are returning to television screens with their latest televised appearance and first-ever appearance in the United States, serving as musical guests on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday, Sept. 14. It continues a hot streak of performances that hasn't stopped since the band first went viral with their KEXP live performance in February, subsequently performing to sold-out crowds across North America and Europe.
Their upcoming gig further pushes their global breakthrough, as the band has already made a high-profile television appearance overseas. In June, the pair performed on BBC's Later... with Jools Holland, alongside Canadian icon Shania Twain, who got an up-close look at the band performing their hits "Fabienk" and "Sarniezz" live. Speaking with Billboard Canada, she praised them as "extraordinary" and "mind-blowing musicians."

Angine de Poitrine's appearance on Jimmy Fallon coincides with their headline debut in the Big Apple, with two sold-out shows at Le Poisson Rouge in New York that kicked off last night (Sept. 9). The group's craftsmanship was on full display, with guitarist Khn de Poitrine even breaking a string during his performance and continuing to play nonetheless, while a stage technician helped him replace it.
The New York shows mark the 333-year-old aliens' return to the North American stage following recent shows in Europe and a blockbuster festival run where they headlined many of Canada's biggest stages. In Montreal, they shut down the Jazz Festival in June with one of the festival's biggest-ever crowds, and returned two months later to play a surprise set on the main stage at Osheaga on its sold-out Saturday date.
Now, Angine de Poitrine are embarking on another worldwide trek, currently passing through the U.S. before heading back to Europe and the U.K. in October and later circling back to Canada. After making their Toronto debut at the Mod Club with a sold-out three-peat in June, the polka-dotted stars are returning to the city to play an even bigger stage at History on Nov. 5. They'll also play Quebec City the next day and return to Montreal's Club Soda on Nov. 14. It's the same 1,000-capacity venue where they played a sold-out show to launch their album Vol. II, which reached No. 11 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, and later debuted at No. 44 on the Billboard 200 following its June vinyl release.

That album's success proved the band's U.S. acclaim early on, with their manager Sébastien Collin revealing in his Billboard Canada Managers to Watch speech that many American record stores stayed open past midnight to sell copies of Vol. I and Vol. II.
Angine de Poitrine are set to appear on Jimmy Fallon alongside fellow musician Becky G, who recently played at Toronto's Rogers Stadium as an opener for Karol G and charted on Billboard's Top Latin Pop Albums chart with her new album Baraja Bendita. Fallon will also host famed actress Salma Hayek Pinault and neuroscientist Andrew Huberman, host of the Huberman LabPodcast, during the same episode.
