Patrice Michaud is feeling good on the Billboard Canada charts.
The Quebec-born singer’s newest single “Super Bien!” debuts this week at No. 29 on the Billboard Canada AC Airplay chart, dated Oct. 3.
While the track’s title and catchy upbeat pop sound are joyful — it translates to “very good!” in English — the Francophone singer-songwriter captures the image of someone putting on a facade that everything is fine while struggling internally. Describing sleepless nights and financial strain, Michaud details what happens when someone runs away from reality. “Hey, t'écoutes même pas c'qu'on te dit / Tu peux pas courir pour toujours,” he sings.

The song is written by Julien Chiasson and Michaud, who writes that “making music with lovely people for other lovely people is anything but boring,” while sharing the songwriting and production credits for the track on social media.
Other Francophone acts on the same adult contemporary chart include JF Pauzé, who sits at No. 26 with “Emmele Dans Ses Ch'veux,” and Gabriel Fredette with “Le Bon Choix” and “Tant Qu'On Est Toi Et Moi” at No. 27 and No. 30, respectively.
Naomi Sharon earns her third entry on the Airplay charts with “Was It Ever Love,” which debuts at No. 48 on the All-Format chart. The wistful track from the Dutch-Caribbean singer and first woman signed to Drake’s OVO Sound debuted six weeks ago on Hot AC. This week, it climbs from 24-22. A week later, the song arrived on CHR/Top 40, and now sits at No. 25.
Meanwhile, country singer Meghan Patrick’s “Your Daddy’s Smile” lands at No. 50 on All-Format. It’s the song’s second entry on the Airplay charts, debuting on the Canada Country chart five weeks ago. This week, it climbs one spot to No. 29. Patrick scores a second entry on Country with “Time After Time,” her collaboration with Andrew Hyatt. This week, it drops from No. 44 to No. 46.

Canadian country singers are making gains. Kelowna, B.C.-native Dawson Gray arrives at No. 48 on the country chart with “Bar’s Gone Now.” At No. 58, Alberta-born Nashville-based singer-songwriter Aaron Goodvin is seeking out positivity on “Not Too Much to Hate.”
At the top of the Airplay Charts, Stella Lefty remains at No. 1 on Country and officially claims the No. 1 spot on All-Format with her viral hit “Boston,” dethroning Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You,” which falls to No. 3, as Cameron Whitcomb’s “Kingdom of Fear” rises one spot to No. 2. Still, Swift holds down the top spot on AC, while Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” climbs 4-2.
On the Contemporary Hit Radio/Top 40 chart, Ella Langley spends a third week at No. 1 with her breakout hit “Choosin’ Texas,” as Ariana Grande moves from No. 3 to No. 2 with “Hate That I Made You Love Me.” Meanwhile, “Dracula,” the viral collab from Tame Impala & JENNIE, sits atop Hot AC for another week.
On Mainstream Rock, Three Days Grace continue their hot streak with “Don't Wanna Go Home Tonight,” their latest hit to reach No. 1. Cage the Elephant’s “Beaches In Tennessee” maintains its spot atop the Modern Rock Airplay chart, along with Noah Kahan’s “Doors” at No. 2.
