Here is this week's Nielsen Market Watch report which features Canadian music stats for the current week and YTD with comparisons to last year. This chart is published every Tuesday. The abbreviation "TEA" is a term used to describe the sale of music downloads or singles. A track equivalent album is equal to 10 tracks, or 10 songs.

With Drake’s ICEMAN debuting at No. 1 on the latest Billboard 200 albums chart (dated May 30), the superstar picks up his 15th leader. In turn, he ties Taylor Swift for the most No. 1s among soloists. Drake and Swift trail just one act, The Beatles, who have the most No. 1s among all acts, with 19. JAY-Z now follows Drake and Swift, with 14 leaders.

In addition to his latest No. 1 achievement, Drake now has 20 top 10 albums on the Billboard 200, counting the debuts of ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR. That makes him the rap act with the most top 10s, surpassing Future, who has 18.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new May 30, 2026-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on May 27 (a day later than usual due to the Memorial Day holiday in the U.S. on May 25). Swift collected her first No. 1 with Fearless in 2008, and her newest No. 1 in 2025 with The Life of a Showgirl.
Drake got his first No. 1 in 2010 with Thank Me Later, and his newest No. 1 with ICEMAN in 2026.
The Fab Four achieved their first three No. 1s in 1964 with Meet the Beatles!, The Beatles’ Second Album and the soundtrack to A Hard Day’s Night. The group’s most recent No. 1 was the greatest hits collection 1 in 2000.
