Here is this week's Nielsen Market Watch report which features Canadian music stats for the current week and YTD with comparisons to last year. This chart is published every Tuesday. The abbreviation "TEA" is a term used to describe the sale of music downloads or singles. A track equivalent album is equal to 10 tracks, or 10 songs.

Other new albums this week come from rockers Big Wreck and The Trews, and singer-songwriters Bahamas and Begonia.
It's one of the busiest release dates of the year for Canadian artists.
Leading the list is Daniel Caesar, whose much-anticipated album Son of Spergy is out today via Hollace Inc. and Republic Records/UMC.
The Canadian R&B star has been through a tumultuous few years, as he described in an exclusive Billboard and Billboard Canada cover story this summer. It brought him to a purer place, one filled with introspection, nostalgia and reckoning with his religious upbringing. The album was executive produced by fellow Canadian singer-songwriter Mustafa and features Sampha, Bon Iver, Yebba, Blood Orange and more. Listen to the new single "Root of all Evil" below.
Bahamas (Afie Jurvanen) also has a new album out today, and it's a provocatively titled one. With five Junos, a Grammy nomination, platinum-selling albums and more than a billion streams across platforms, he has had an acclaimed career as a Canadian singer-songwriter. We're not share whether to take the title of his new record, My Second Last Album, (his seventh studio release) seriously.
His previous album, Bootcut, had a country feel, while the new one features a more familiar breezy indie-folk Bahamas sound. Recorded at DreamDate, the compact studio built by friend and collaborator Joshua Van Tassel, the album features the pair playing every instrument across its 10 tracks.
Another critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter, Begonia (Alexa Dirks), has just released her third album, Fantasy Life. The powerhouse vocalist reportedly wrote its 13 songs in L.A. heat, then recorded them in the middle of winter in her hometown of Winnipeg. The record is described as being "about the mundane and the magical, the delusional and the hopeful."
Veteran rockers Big Wreck launched their ninth album, The Rest of the Story, at Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre last night (Oct. 23). In a recent interview with The Globe & Mail, frontman and guitar hero Ian Thornley praised the new record's producer, Nick Raskulinecz, noting that "he is great with perspective. You get deep inside a song and it’s great to have a bird’s-eye view. You have to have the big picture in mind. He’s also great with wild, out-of-left-field ideas, arrangement-wise." A Grammy-winner who has worked with Rush, Foo Fighters and Deftones, Raskulinecz also produced Thornley's 2009 album, Tiny Pictures.
Today also brings a major album announcement from electronic music powerhouse deadmau5. The yet-untitled 2026 album will be his first in a decade, following 2016's W:/2016ALBUM/. The Billboard Canada cover star has released the first single, "Ameonna," out today via mau5trap. It's a familiar spacey-but-driving deadmau5 sound, slowly unfolding over its hypnotic seven-plus minutes. Listen below:
