It’s a unique way for listeners to interact with Rodrigo’s album before its release — and the project has already gained notable buzz. When she announced it in April, Rodrigo shared that she’s “so proud of this record” and “can’t wait” for fans to hear it.
The album’s lead single, “Drop Dead,” already hit No. 1 on the May 2- dated Canadian Hot 100, marking Rodrigo’s fourth chart-topping track and third No. 1 lead single in Canada. It remained there for one week before being dethroned by Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas.”
Last month, the singer and actor did double-duty on Saturday Night Live as the host and musical guest. Those are three of the 13 tracks on Rodrigo’s third album, which include titles like “Stupid Song” and “Maggots for Brains.”
