Drake
Plus: Heated Rivalry’s official series soundtrack debuts in the top 10, and rising pop singer Audrey Hobert scores her debut entry on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.
The Iceman is back on top.
After spending a handful of weeks at No. 2, Drake’s latest acclaimed album, Iceman, has returned to No. 1. The Toronto rapper dethrones Madonna's Confessions II, which drops to No. 15 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, dated July 25.
Always a chart juggernaut, Iceman has further solidified Drake’s impact in Canada. The album debuted at No. 1 shortly after its release in May, prompting him to break the record for the most chart-topping albums in Canada.
The album stayed at No. 1 for four weeks before being knocked out of the top spot by Olivia Rodrigo's you see pretty sad for a girl so in love. That was replaced last week by Madonna's Confessions II, which was her first chart-topping record in over a decade.
Now, over a month later Iceman is back at the top for its second run.
Summer hit “Janice STFU” also became Drake’s record-breaking 14th No. 1 song in his home country when it was released and was his longest-leading No. 1 hit of the decade in his home country. That coveted No. 1 spot is currently held by Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” as it spends another week at the top, while "Janice" is at No. 3 in its ninth week.
Drake has four albums in total on the Canadian Albums chart this week, with Iceman companion album Maid of Honour at No. 58, previously peaking at No. 2, plus 2016’s Views at No. 52 and 2011’s Take Care at No. 60.
Further down the top 10, Future — a frequent Drake collaborator — debuts at No. 6 with his own solo release, The Real Me. The rapper’s latest release scores the No. 1 spot on this week’s U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart, while Drake’s Iceman sits at No. 6.
Future also scores four tracks on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, including “California Girls” (No. 55), “Fukk A Interview” (No. 70), “Konnichiwa” (No. 91) and “Tank Top Pluto” (No. 98). Still, his highest charting song entry in Canada is his feature on Drake’s “Ran To Atlanta,” with rapper Molly Santana.
One debut is heating up the Canadian Albums chart: the Heated Rivalry (Original Series Soundtrack) arrives at No. 8, marking the first TV show soundtrack to reach the top 10 this year. The new entry follows the soundtrack's vinyl release earlier this month.
In less than a year, the Crave hockey romance series has become a major hit. The soundtrack features an original score from Montreal musician Peter Peter and a selection of the beloved tracks heard in the series, including: Wolf Parade’s “I’ll Believe In Anything,” Feist’s “My Moon My Man,” t.A.T.u’s “All The Things She Said,” Harrison’s “All The Things She Said,” Wet Leg’s “mangetout” and more.
Peter Peter’s original series soundtrack was officially released at the beginning of the year, but this marks the first time that fans can listen to both the score and a selection of the show's biggest needle drops together. Many of the songs featured in the acclaimed show have spilled onto the charts — back in January, Harrison’s t.A.T.u cover landed on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 at No. 55.
Over on the Canadian Hot 100, Stella Lefty continues her rapid ascent. After entering the top 10 for the first time two weeks ago, the rising country-pop singer-songwriter now has her first top 5 hit as "Boston" rises to No. 5. The song is one higher than on the U.S. Hot 100, where it is No. 6.
That viral hit is not her only charting song this week, as "I Know I Know" rises 73-58 and "Something To Lose" comes in at No. 68.

Audrey Hobert moves up one spot to No. 78 with “Sue Me.” The chart debut from the rising pop singer, it marks her second week on the chart.
Released in summer 2025, the punchy dance-pop track is experiencing a resurgence after its notable synch in Prime Video’s series Off Campus. The track soundtracks a moment between Dean and Allie in the series, subtly teasing fans that the couple will be the centre of the show’s season.
The California native told Billboard that “Sue Me” was one of the first songs she worked on with producer Ricky Gourmet. Hobert knew that the track instinctively needed to be her debut single — even if it was “the kind of pop song that people could potentially think is bad or stupid,” she explained. It served as the first taste from Hobert’s debut album, Who’s The Clown, which came out last August.
“It’s good because it’s bad,” she continued of the song. “There are a lot of choruses of really, really successful songs that repeat one line. And my taste in music is hit songs.”
While the World Cup is over, sports fans are still celebrating. On the Canadian Hot 100, Shakira and Burna Boy’s hit “Dai Dai” rises to No. 16, while Britpop band Oasis re-enters at No. 74 with What’s the Story Morning Glory? on the Canadian Albums chart — seemingly an ode to England’s third place finish after "Wonderwall" became the country's World Cup anthem.
