TIME has announced its expansion into Canada, with ArtsHouse Media Group (AMG Inc.) serving as the publisher of TIME Canada. AMG Inc. is a Canadian media company whose portfolio includes Billboard Canada, Billboard UK, Rolling Stone Québec, Rolling Stone Canada, SOUNDSTAGE and NXNE, to name a few.
The announcement was made at TIFF Lightbox on June 11. Speaking at the launch event, Mo Ghoneim, President of Billboard Canada, Billboard UK and Founder of AMG Inc., reflected on the significance of the moment.
"Today is a true full-circle moment," he said. "More than 50 years ago, my great uncle appeared on the cover of TIME as Person of the Year and would go on to receive the Nobel Peace Prize months later. Growing up, I saw the impact this iconic publication had in recognizing the people and ideas shaping our world."

Ghoneim also thanked TIME CEO Jessica Sibley and the TIME team for their partnership in bringing the new edition to life.
Addressing the audience, Sibley spoke about the importance of Canada at this moment in history and highlighted the inclusion of Mark Carney on the TIME100 list as an example of the country's growing global influence.
Sibley noted that for more than a century, TIME has spotlighted the leaders and ideas shaping the world and described TIME Canada as the next expression of that mission, bringing TIME's trusted journalism, iconic franchises and global platform to one of the world's most dynamic and influential countries.
TIME Canada is set to launch this fall across digital, print, live events, video and social platforms, with a mission to spotlight the people, ideas and stories shaping Canada's future.
