On July 21, event organizers Paul Lemire and John Fillion are hoping that 1000 musicians will show up to Firemen’s Park in Niagara Falls, Ontario and sing five Canadian songs and an AC/DC tune for charity.


If Day of 1000 Musicians all comes together as planned, Lemire is hoping to raise $5000 each for a quartet of charities, including two associated with music, Major Progressions Music Therapy and Music Gives Movement; in addition to Project SHARE  which provides emergency food to families in need in Niagara Falls; and Stamford Centre Volunteer Firemen’s Association.

As AC/DC pass through the country on their latest global stadium tour, they are offering Canadian fans a one-stop shop for exclusive merch, props, giveaways and much more.

Canada is getting ready to PWR/UP with AC/DC. The legendary rock band are currently passing through the country on their global stadium tour, and they’re giving creating an exclusive pop-up in each city with exclusive merch, props, visuals, photo opportunities, themed food and a giveaway for a guitar signed by Angus Young.

AC/DC are Canada down, adding a Canada-themed jersey featuring the band’s logo and a maple leaf to the pop-ups. The temporary shop also carries limited-edition, city-specific shirts and event posters.
