Drake adds five new Hot 100 top 10s, as his new album Scorpion sits confidently in first place on the Billboard Albums chart, upping his career total to 31 and passing Michael Jackson for the most among solo males.


Drake's now boasts seven songs in the top 10 simultaneously, besting the Beatles' record of five that had stood since 1964.

Billboard has neatly compiled all the chart-busting moves the Toronto R&B singer is scoring with his new release and enumerates the songs that are setting fire to streaming platforms.

In another blow to the Toronto live music venue scene, long-running Queen St. West club venue the Velvet Underground is shutting its doors at the end of October following the completion of its lease.

Formerly primarily a goth and industrial club dating back to the '90s, the venue was renovated and reopened in 2016 as a destination for live music, bands and DJs and has been operated by Live Nation.
