Canadian Music Week has announced its full lineup of music and keynote speakers for this year's edition, May 6-12. The latter list includes mother Virginia Hanlon Grohl and her son Dave (pictured).

CMW Announces Full Lineup Of Music And Speakers

Canadian Music Week (CMW) has announced the full music lineup for this year's edition, running May 6-12 across downtown Toronto. Legendary NYC rock band Television kicks things off at The Phoenix on May 6, the iHeartRadio Fan Fest on May 8 features Marshmello and Neon Dreams, and The Indies, featuring the Born Ruffians, LA FORCE and The Elwins, is on May 11. 


Other notable acts showcasing in the clubs include Hooded Fang, Ebhoni, Witch Prophet, KONGOS, Zaki Ibrahim, The Darcys, Petra Glynt, Gabrielle Shonk, Casey MQ, and Lydia Képinski.

They join previously announced acts including The Dandy Warhols, Tokyo Police Club, Azealia Banks, Black Mountain, The King Khan and BBQ Show, The Dirty Nil, and Sunflower Bean. Stay tuned for info on a free concert at Yonge and Dundas Square. Check the lineup here

CMW has also announced an impressive roster of keynote speakers as part of the CMW Conference, running May 9 – 11,  at The Sheraton Centre in Toronto. 

The Opening Keynote on May 9 will be The Future of Radio in Canada – A Digital Revolution?, by radio futurologist James Cridland. On the same day is a Lightning Keynote and Interview with Canada's global music business superstar Merck Mercuriadis, who then hosts From Usher to Bieber: An In-Depth Interview with Hit-Maker Poo Bear. A May 9 Masterclass features Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Linda Perry, of 4 Non Blondes, while Tuma Basa, the Director of Urban Music at YouTube, appears for a Fireside Chat on Thursday, May 9.

May 10 features a conversation between Dave Grohl and his mother Virginia Hanlon Grohl, talking about the inspiration behind her book From Cradle to Stage.

Also on May 10 is a Keynote Interview with Robbie Robertson, who will have received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards Gala Dinner the night before. The Power of Broadcast is a Keynote Presentation by Bob Hoffman from Type A Group, and Tim Leiweke (aka King of Arenas) is featured in a Fireside Chat. Scott Cohen, Chief Innovation Officer, Recorded Music at Warner Music Group in the UK, is the subject of a Featured Session.

On the final day, CMW presents the Fireside Chat Jermaine Dupri: The Mega-Stardom Magnet. Dupri is a rapper, actor, record executive, producer, manager, and a prolific songwriter.
