Here is this week's Luminate Data Market Watch report which features Canadian music stats for the current week and YTD with comparisons to last year. This chart is published every Tuesday. The abbreviation "TEA" is a term used to describe the sale of music downloads or singles. A track equivalent album is equal to 10 tracks, or 10 songs.

All 13 tracks are also charting in the top 30 of the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, led by “Stupid Song” at No. 2. Plus: Punjabi artist Navaan Sandhu scores multiple entries on the charts, from his latest album, Bipolar.
Olivia Rodrigo has secured her third No. 1 album in Canada.
The pop singer’s latest release, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, tops the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, dated June 27, bumping Drake’s record-breaking Iceman to No. 2 after four weeks in the top spot.
Rodrigo now has three No. 1 albums on the Canadian Albums chart since kicking off her career in 2021, with Pretty Sad joining 2021’s Sour and 2023’s Guts. All three of her albums have hit No. 1. Time will tell if You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love beats Sour’s 10-week record at No. 1.
All 13 of the albums songs has also hit the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 this week, led by “Stupid Song,” which debuts at No. 2. Rodrigo wasn’t able to snag the No. 1 on the Canadian Hot 100, as Ella Langley’s country hit “Choosin’ Texas” rises 3-1. Last week’s No. 1 song, Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You,” drops to No. 5 while Drake's "Janice STFU" slides from 2 to 3.
Rodrigo’s album claims multiple spots in the top 30 as lead single “Drop Dead” climbs to No. 4, while second single “The Cure” hits No. 6, a new peak for the track. The remaining tracks all debut this week: “Honeybee” (No. 9), “Maggots For Brains” (No. 11), “Begged” (No. 15), “My Way (No. 17), “What’s Wrong With Me” featuring The Cure’s Robert Smith (No. 18), “U + me = <3” (No. 19), “Less” (No. 20), “Expectations” (No. 21), “Purple” (No. 27) and “Cigarette Smoke” rounds out at No. 30.
It’s shaping up to be a big week for Rodrigo, who announced her women-led music festival, Daisy Chain Fields, yesterday (June 22), which is “directly inspired” by Sarah McLachlan’s late ‘90s music festival Lilith Fair.
Punjabi artist Navaan Sandhu is having a big week on the Canadian charts. He scores three entries on the Canadian Hot 100: “Kath Lagda” featuring Dhanda Nyoliwala at No. 69, “Headliner” at No. 76 and “Hood Ambience” at No. 88. The songs come from his new album Bipolar, which debuts at No. 11 on this week’s Canadian Albums chart.
The Amritsar-born Sandhu is no stranger to the Canadian charts. Last year, his project House Navoir hit No. 12 on the Oct. 4-dated Canadian Albums chart, building on the momentum of The Finest, the 2024 record that scored Sandhu his first-ever entry in Canada.
As the World Cup kicks into full gear, listeners are celebrating as FIFA World Cup 2026: Official Album arrives at No. 42 on the Canadian Albums chart — a whopping 110 spots higher than its debut placement on the Billboard 200. Among its global artists, the album features tracks from a handful of Canadians including Nelly Furtado, Jessie Reyez and Nora Fatehi.
Following the passing of Oliver Tree, the singer’s 2018 hit “Life Goes On” re-enters the Canadian Hot 100 at No. 77 — it previously peaked at No. 46. Last week, Post Malone performed at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium and dedicated the entire show to Tree, whom he called “a beautiful man.”
